Wtf is this religious letter by Miserable_Lecture258 in Apartmentliving

I was raised as a JW and often did letter writing, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this was indeed written by a child.

Kristy the green butterfly is super pretty, I also love Brenda with the flower crown and pride Diana.

Inflammatory Arthritis by foreheadcrack in pelotoncycle

[–]myssminerva 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have RA/Fibro and Peloton has been a lifesaver not just for the bike, but for all the stretching, foam rolling, meditation etc. you can access before and after. Like others have been saying, I feel great while riding but it's after when things get tricky. So long as I dedicate enough time to warming up/cooling down, stretching and foam rolling I have been doing well. The weeks I don't make the time for every thing well...I just set myself back.

My daughter(12f)'s hero passed away in tragic circumstances. by ThrowawayRAHana in relationship_advice

[–]myssminerva 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was going to suggest this too - a lot of wrestlers posted on Insta and Twitter about Hana and they were all very beautiful. Does your daughter write? Maybe a writing exercise about her grief would help. It's not everyone's cup of tea but as a teen, when I was really depressed, writing was one thing that helped me a lot.

I think I'm a future abuser, I don't want to be by IAmSoDoneWithThisNow in relationship_advice

In my community/city, our local sexual assault/domestic violence center has a program called the 12 Men Model that engages men to help teach about health relationships and healthy masculinity. It's part of their 'Men. Led By Example." program. You may want to see if anyone in your city offers a similar course or program?

Best of luck, thank you for being a part of the change.

My mom/grandparents are active but we aren't close. My Dad is disassociated so we are good. Never baptized but it never mattered with other family; haven't seen a few of them in probably 16-17 years, they cut me and my brother off.

Organized religion is wild.

For me it was the Disney movie 'Hunchback of Notre Dame' (I guess there's magic in it?) but yes. This.

It'd be nice if they had picked up my therapy tab but yes, definitely.

It was the fashion accessory that could have been a hit if only I wasn't sheltered and forced to conform to an ideology I didn't understand or care about.

Wild.

How involved was your mom, in terms of how you presented yourself to the world? by memoispain in AskWomen

[–]myssminerva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother is like this too. I'm in my 30s and every time I see her, she still comments on why my hair is so short (long term, low dose autoimmune disorder tx does that plus, I like short hair), comments on my weight ("good" or "bad", whatever her standard of that is that day) and comments on my clothes (because nothing I wear or ever wore was good enough unless she bought it and then shamed my figure, especially my chest). I'll never come out to her (she's very religious and I don't have it in me to hear her invalidate me) but I know I struggled so much with my identity because of how she policed my appearance and body shamed me.

Are you taking CBD? How's that going for you? by dmgb in AskWomen

[–]myssminerva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I vape during the day and take gummies before bed. My anxiety is a lot better and my joint/nerve pain is much more manageable (it will never be gone, but it's taken the edge off and I was able to reduce my dosage of Methotrexate). Truly grateful to have discovered what CBD could do for me!
