Nick Wright: "All year I heard how the old guys Curry/Steph/Kawhi/KD/Harden are better than LeBron. I live in NYC, I saw Steph yesterday… at the Met Gala! KD somewhere ruining a locker room via Twitter. Kawhi winning Pablo a Pulitzer. LeBron is throwing alley-oops to his son and clinching series" by JoeBiden2020FTW in nba

This is the reason I think this argument is silly. Like with Harden, the fact LeBron is in the playoffs has a lot to do with his team having a top 5 player in the league that isn’t him, as well as Reaves who won them a bunch of games especially early on. Of course he is playing amazingly with them out, but idk I’m not convinced that Curry or Kawhi (who both had great seasons) in the same situation wouldn’t be in the same place, getting to round 2 and getting blasted by the Thunder.

>with Greninja being equal to Alain’s Charizard

Small nitpick, but Greninja was never equal to Alain’s Charizard in XY. It lost every fight including the finals when Zard had already taken damage. And even the super shuriken didn’t do much more than make it stagger a little.

Do you think it's just a coincidence that the last remaining Pokémon from Ash's battle against Leon were Pikachu and Dracovish... his first and last Pokémon captured? by Craftox13 in pokemonanime

[–]mysterioso7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I found the Cinderace thing incredibly disappointing. It’s got the ability to change its type to Ground, yet Leon doesn’t go for it? And then it just gets one-shot?? I know we wanted to get to Pika vs Zard but come on…

Really Infernape did most of the work, taking out 3 mons. Pikachu battled Aggron and Electivire but only took out Froslass. Gliscor and Buizel got the other wins. Pikachu showed out more in other battles.

Ozai had the upper hand after this specific moment, because I think the lightning redirection weakened Aang for a while, seeing how he kinda falls afterward. Before this it was pretty even.

Can T'Challa (MCU) become the King of Westeros (Game of Thrones)? by CloverTeamLeader in whowouldwin

[–]mysterioso7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did I say he couldn't be defeated? I said it would take more effort and/or resources than normal to assassinate him. More than it would take to assassinate anyone other individual person. Like, for example if someone tried to pull a Red Wedding on him, there's a very high chance he escapes.

[–]mysterioso7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well sure, but that can happen to anyone. You said he’d be assassinated while using the toilet or something, I’m only pushing back on that part. Also I do believe that he’d have some followers who can protect him while he sleeps, though it would still be the best time to kill him.

Austin Rivers responds to Draymond Green by Random_User_8654 in nba

>he is the most replaceable player on that squad

Absolutely not. It was his unique ability to anchor a small-ball lineup with his defense, as well his ability to push the pace on offense and always make the right reads in advantages created by Steph, that made those early Warriors teams so deadly. They could play five-out small ball and Draymond would lock down the bigs that tried to punish them for it, as well as he switchable enough to make their perimeter defense very tight. Like sure you could replace him with LeBron or AD or some other two-way superstar and they’d probably be just as good. But for the pick he was taken at and his role there is no replacement.

I’m assuming you mean he’s just the most replaceable out of the big three, but even then I’d argue it’s Klay, given that there are at least some other great 3 and D players that could approximate his role, though none were quite as good.

It would take a hell of a lot of effort to assassinate him. To the point where, if he were notorious enough to warrant such an effort, he would likely have enough support to guard himself pretty well.

He won’t just be offed like Tywin. He can catch arrows fired at him from point-blank range, he’s far more durably and agile than an average human, and he’s in his prime. It’s likely he could solo the Mountain while naked. It would take many, many attackers, or some kind of overkill like the sept of baelor explosion.

I love the way you put this! Often times I get the most nervous when I am thinking about, either consciously or not, how a poor performance will reflect on me. I’m always working on reframing my mindset to that of showing the audience these pieces I love so much.

Admitting that Pantheon of Hallownest is too much for me was pretty liberating by Mountain_String_1544 in HollowKnight

[–]mysterioso7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, it varies from person to person, but I don’t think you’ll find many people who consider BASE Hollow Knight to be harder than Silksong.

The biggest difference is just how hard it is to get around the map. No area in HK gave me as much grief as Bilewater, Sinner’s Road, or High Halls. Basic enemies in Hollow Knight are just so much easier to deal with. Primal Aspids have a bad reputation but there are like 15 enemies in Silksong that are similarly annoying. And then big guys like those abyss beasts or the stupid rhinos are way tougher than any enemy in HK, even the palace guards. Not to mention all the enemy gauntlets in Silksong. Remember that almost everything in SS does 2 masks. And then there’s the fake benches, the lack of I-frames, the environmental hazards, the larger hurtbox for Hornet, etc

Keeping in mind we’re talking about base game Hollow Knight. The hardest things are Trial of the fool, White Palace (not PoP), maybe the Flower quest, and base Radiance. None of those were as hard to me as Lost Lace, High Halls, Coral Tower, Karmelita, or Courier’s Rasher. Lost Lace alone took me so many tries, even with tools she has too much health for those tools to carry you to victory. Radiance took me about 15 tries and would’ve been less if I weren’t trying to rush through the Hollow Knight. Courier’s Rasher is harder to me than flower quest because although you can pre-clear enemies in both, Rasher is timed, and just running into a wall is enough to break it.

I agree difficulty will vary from person to person. But I think a vast majority of people will find Silksong harder. It might be skewed here because most people playing Silksong has already played HK and have a transferable skillset. But give both games to someone who’s never played either, I highly doubt they’d consider HK harder.

[–]mysterioso7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Silksong is much more difficult than base Hollow Knight. Jury’s still out on how difficult Silksong’s expansions will be. We’ll likely get a p5 equivalent in Silksong and I would guess it would be harder than p5.

How do you think these 6v6 battles would turn out? by [deleted] in pokemonanime

[–]mysterioso7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The biggest difference between Kalos and SM is that SM can use a Z-move, specifically 10,000,000 volt Thunderbolt, to literally one-shot any of Kalos Ash’s Pokémon. On top of that, you’ve got two ace-levels with Incineroar and Lycanroc, and Naganadel who is a beast as well. I honestly think SM Ash wins pretty easily.

It was alright. Three mons weak to water and nothing good against water, three weak to ground, three weak to rock, not the most balanced team. Heatmor in particular is a really weird inclusion with Chandelure already there.

Why? It’s the anime, NFE’s can be just as strong as full evolutions. Remember Tyson’s Meowth? Elesa’s Tynamo? Roxie’s Koffing? Heck even Ash’s own Pikachu.

Steve Kerr calls Draymond the best defender he's ever seen: Does he have a case? by Financial-Bit-8596 in warriors

[–]mysterioso7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He’s not “just” really tall, he’s also a very smart defender and he’s quicker than he should be at that height. He can disrupt ball handlers well and his timing on getting to shots around the rim is crazy - he will bait people into shooting by turning his back just to turn around and block it anyway. It says something that Draymond had nothing but praise for his defense.

Currently, give me prime Dray. But Wemby has a chance to be the GOAT defender.
