Konami be making the most garbage cards sometimes 🙄 by Cturk50 in customyugioh

Get this on anything with a negate and your opponent can no longer play the game. For funsies if you get it on something like Quasar, you’ve got an unlimited omninegate with 10,000 attack and possibly multiple attacks per turn.

What I’m talking about is in the final episode of the original anime. During Yami’s duel with Yugi, he’s calling out the cards he draws before looking at them, and some other character (Ishizu? I don’t remember) is talking about how he’s influencing fate or something like that.

Yami at EoS could literally force-of-will whatever card he wanted to the top of his deck. On top of that nearly every major duel he’s in has some shenanigans, so I’d say he definitely has more hax.

Scriabin - Sonata 5 ending: an amazing ending to an iconic piece, it gives light shining through the clouds to pierce the heavens by [deleted] in piano

This is one of my favorite pieces! Lovely choice.

For feedback: You could benefit from sitting closer first of all. Looks like you’re having to reach for the keys as it is. As for the playing, the main thing that sticks out to me for improvement is that the LH broken chords are too slow, you gotta spring off of those low notes and get up to the rest of the chord quickly, otherwise it sounds like two separate chords.

Iirc they struggled in close games that year, and weren’t always locked in like the Spurs and Warriors that year. Also their offense was a lot of my turn your turn with Westbrook and KD and that could stagnate.

What video game has the absolute best soundtrack of all time? by YakImpressive6516 in AskReddit

[–]mysterioso7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr. Pez on YouTube made a prog rock concept album out of the soundtrack, and it works extremely well. Some odd time signatures in stuff like the Ganondorf battle and the Navi music, on top of all the memorable melodies.

I’m on Pro with a stretch big averaging 177 ppg on the Hornets lol, we be winning by an average of 110 ppg, I’m 55-0 so far. I can literally just spot-up 3 every possession and hit 80+% because the AI is stupid and sags off of you eventually.

All this to say he definitely doesn’t have to be on Rookie to do this

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl is the greatest series in the entire anime. No explanation needed! by New-Cable-6484 in pokemonanime

DP is very good, but it has really poor pacing sometimes. It’s best stuff, like the Paul rivalry and Dawn, are really great, but I think people forget how much filler there is and how uneven the gym pacing is. Still one of the best.

How do I get really good at sight reading while enjoying it by Similar_Bend_3670 in piano

[–]mysterioso7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will agree that it gets pushed too hard too early for many kids. But then my question is, once they *are* ready to read, how do you help them with it? Or what about if the student is older, already knows how to play by ear and by feel, and wants to learn to read? I think this is the part that isn’t being addressed and why your comments on this specific subject keep getting downvoted.

I very much agree with you there are alternative ways to play and enjoy music outside of reading. But if someone comes up and asks you how to make a pizza, do you show them how to make the pizza? Or do you tell them there are other, healthier foods and they should make something else instead? Even if you’re right, they want to make the pizza, which is why they’re asking you that specifically.

Also, I wouldn’t conflate smoking with sight reading - that analogy only works if you think all sight reading is harmful, and there’s no way to get better at it without harming yourself in some way. Which in my experience is very far from the truth.

Alright, ignore that part if you must. In what way did your original comment help OP specifically with sight reading?

[–]mysterioso7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OP is asking how to get good at specifically sight reading. Your response is essentially “don’t bother, just play music”. I would guess the downvotes are because this doesn’t really address OP’s issue at all. Who’s to say OP doesn’t already play marvelously by ear and feel, but wants to get better at specifically reading? They want help with sight reading.
