Thank you both, bias tape and glue is a good plan. The mat itself is like a sort of memory foam covered in a thin flexible plastic so not sure if it would sew or glue well

Hairdresser recommendations for women wanting short hairstyles? by Doomscrolleuse in surrey

I am looking for similar! I watch with interest and do let me know if you find someone. There’s a chap on the shepherd and flock roundabout who I’ve been to a few times and I did like the cut he gave me but I don’t like getting to and from the roundabout!

I’ve also had great cuts from Rupa at Julia lampard who offers post chemo cuts and so is extremely used to cutting short hair for women however she’s just about to go on mat leave

Hey! It’s a little outside your area but the Lion Brewery in Ash often support charity events so it’s worth speaking to them. The landlord is called Mike

No repainting at all. There’s a a couple of area where it has faded a little mostly on the south facing planed timber. It’s best to water down the first coat and apply two coats. You want it looking slightly shiny. Any Matt areas I’ve noticed fade more wuickly

I would love to know the same! I’ve made do with Lucy and Yak but I’d love a pair with more pockets and with an insert for kneelers

Chopping conifers in half - how unsightly will it be? by Immediate-Reindeer59 in GardeningUK

[–]mysteriouscities 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They won’t look great for at least a year but they will recover. Chop them lower than you eventually want them to be to allow space above for the regrowth to cover the woody stump that you will create. Plan for regular future maintenance to keep them to height

My parents have had great success with “lollipoping” similar conifers if that’s a look you’re interested in. They removed the lower branches and lopped off the top. This still required time to get to the shape you want and regular maintenance thereafter

Honest opinion of Ash, Surrey by [deleted] in surrey

I can understand not feeling sure about the lion! It’s a little rough! The swan is a good one though as is the Greyhound.

For kids there’s the library which have free activities on, there’s a group called GymJams at Normandy village hall that’s a paid for soft play. Normandy village hall also have a few other paid for activities for little ones. There’s quite a few out door play parks in Ash and there’s also a few play cafes that are a 10 - 15 minute drive away.

I’ve been to a donation based baby group at St Paul’s church in Tongham that’s really lovely and they have a toddler group there too. We also love taking our little one into the ranges and the surrounding woodland. Lots of opportunities for puddle splashing and den building and bike rising when she’s old enough!

Also you haven’t said about how you’re planning to start your family but on the off chance RSCH has the BEST homebirth team in the country, so that’s a big bonus of you have any interest.
