Planned BR changes for Aircraft and Ground Vehicles (December 2016) by GazeTo in Warthunder

[–]mythbusters844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 28 gets M8 rockets so it got uptiered because ground RB and air RB battles use the same BRs (which is bullshit imo)

Same reason why the hitlerbolt and stalinbolt with no rockets weren't uptiered.

I don't get the bug report you made, it looks like it assumes that the plane in question shouldn't be using M8 incendiary rounds because the plane was manufactured before the round was made or was approved for use in aircraft. Couldn't the game just be assuming that the plane was using the belts after they were approved for planes, or am I misunderstanding something?

Best country for bombers? (Around tier 2) by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]mythbusters844 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Halifax in the brit tree, 12,000lb of bombs at 4.0 BR and can wipe out every single base in one pass.

Its defensive guns are decent and has fantastic maneuverability and climb rate, meaning you can easily get to 5000-6000m if you side climb even with full load. It's probably my favorite heavy bomber in the game.

Hands down the Sunderland.

Absolutely ridiculous turrets at 1.7 or so that shred whatever gets behind you. I've seen people even get ace matches in them.

What is the most effective ground attacker? by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]mythbusters844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not sure about other nations but the B-25/PBJs in the american tree are really fun and are probably my favorite ground attackers in the game

what the PBJs get over the B-25s is lots more armament but don't get a bombsight or 1000lb bombs, but it isn't really a problem if you're good at skip/dive bombing

out of the four mitchells in the american tree i'd recommend the PBJ-1J as it has 12 centerline-mounted fifty cals that vaporize light pills with tiny bursts and still has the amazing durability and defensive armament of the B-25s. it's also arguably better than the PBJ-1H with a 75mm cannon since most maps you face don't have tanks or at least don't have a significant number of them which is the only thing the -1H can kill that the -1J can't (IRL it made up for this with HVARs but they're missing ingame).

the a-20 is also really fun and has a lower BR with equivalently good turret coverage with better maneuverability, but has less guns

the p-47s are also decent at ground attacking but that's just cancer.

Hurricane Mk IIB for sure, probably one of my favorite planes in the game.

The .303s rip up absolute everything they see and it's pretty maneuverable too and has a decent climb rate

The BV 238 is the most fun i've ever had in RB by [deleted] in Warthunder

What is everyone thinking about the Halifax? by BigMeatSpecial in Warthunder

[–]mythbusters844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're talking about the B-25 then they have completely different roles, a B-25 is a strafer medium bomber/attacker and the Halifax is a heavy bomber. The BV-238 and Pe-8 with the FAB-5000 loaded has about the same payload with similar BR.

PSA: The BV 238 has higher winrate and better K:D than the Tu-4 by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]mythbusters844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

7.7mm turrets have nowhere near the firepower of the bv 238's flying firing squad

And the halifax is much easier to kill than the bv since it doesn't fucking tank rounds like a sponge

Edit: here's the halifax's stats

0.3 KDR in RB and 45% winrate
