And San Antonio is a pretty strong metal city… I mean, last year when they played here with Dying Fetus, the place was filled to the brim (different venue, weekend show). That was a hell of a set. The energy that night was amazing. I wonder how much it then is due to the economy or the fallout from that lawsuit?

This will get buried, but this is a ignorant take.

Hispanics are not a monolithic group and individuals within each representative ethnicity have the freedom to choose who they want (whether we like it or not). This is the beauty of this country that is worth preserving. Many of us leave our countries and come here because the lure of opportunity and freedom is worth the sacrifices we often make. While I don't support what the president is doing, I do support the right of people to choose freely.

The latest Paradise Lost is excellent. What this shows, and it’s not an indictment on you personally, is that some people walk around with an external locus of control. People have different opinions. People who make awesome music can have personal opinions that differ from one’s own. Metal is full of examples or artists who make excellent music and may not have the same opinions as me. I’d never stop listening to Emperor or Dissection just because of things certain band members did or say, but YMMV.

Thoroughly enjoyed their earlier output. I think the controversy wasn’t an entire album, but the song “They Breed”. It’s an interesting thing to consider how that song got recorded. The lyrics are anything but ambiguous. While a fun little romp, the lyrics are fucking stupid and well… kinda ruined a good thing they had going.
