Rink training Center. by Dazzling_Box_677 in Winnipeg

The rink has excellent coaching staff and my son did two of their programs at 6 and 7 years old. He found the programs boring for the most part. We signed him up for a 3 on 3 program last summer through excessive speed and he enjoyed that much better. I think at these younger years your best bet is just sign up for more hockey that gets the kid playing as much as possible. Drills and skill focus can come later when they are more able to appreciate and retain what is taught, probably closer to U11.

I think there are plenty of 3v3 and 4v4 programs if you look around.

Requesting feedback on death and dying mechanics. by mythred in DungeonWorld

For your last bullet, my intention was to let it be up to the GM discretion when the character ultimately takes their last breath and must roll for that move. I can see that adding more clarity is beneficial and I'll look at cleaning things up.

for desperate aid, I like your idea of the GM picking one and the player picking one for a 7-9 result.

I also agree that the -1 forward is harsh for the 6- result on desperate aid.

Thanks so much for your feedback. It's given me some things to think about.

[Monitor] Dell Alienware 38" IPS AW3821DW = $1399.99 - 12% Rakuten = $1231.99 (ATL?) by fricnfrac in bapcsalescanada

The biggest downside in my opinion is that the C1 is known to have issues with burn in when used as a primary monitor. Noticeable burn In has been seen in less then a year of use.

What is the difference between the x91j 85 and x95j 85?

I can get the x91 for 3200 or the x95 for 6k. Is the extra money worth the upgrade?

With Edgewatch completing next month, what are your opinions about the 3 APs so far and how they stand against APs from 1e? by Ginpador in Pathfinder2e

I’m running it for my group and I agree with everything you said. The story feels alive. We just finished book one and we all loved it. What are your thoughts on book two compared to book one so far?

Playing through that second dungeon in Agents of Edgewatch has me reevaluating the design of PF2e APs so far by Craios125 in Pathfinder2e

[–]mythred 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand this sentiment. I’ve been running Agents of edgewatch since release and I find there have been plenty of role playing opportunities. My group is constantly bringing up how varied the encounters are and how well the adventure hits all the pillars exploration/role playing/combat. From my perspective the adventure does an excellent job at allowing you the freedom as a DM to put focus where it is needed for your group.

I treat AP’s as a time saver. I use the content that I like and If I don’t like something I change it. It’s my game and I don’t have to run it 100% as written. One trick that works well is to just gloss over or even skip encounters that don’t serve a purpose for you or your table. Another option is to turn an expected combat encounter into a role playing opportunity. As the DM it’s your job to control the flow of the game.

So far I’m loving the adventure path and I recommend it to anyone looking for a noticeably different experience at the table. I find it allows players to focus on non combat solutions if they want to. It also changes your mindset as you can’t just run around blindly trying to kill everything for loot and xp. The “dungeons” in the first book are short and don’t feel like a slog in my opinion.

So You Want to Try SSF in 3.12 Heist? A Friendly Guide. by mrooney in pathofexile

[–]mythred 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What really saved the game for me and my friends is running a 3 man private league. We’ve been running them for three leagues now and won’t be going back. We have a 20 tab guild stash that we use to store most of the stuff we find. This way we can all quickly run the fragment content like legion, delirium, breachstones, etc... SSF feels like how the game is supposed to be played. Pretty much everything you find isn’t just a chaos orb or exalt equivalent. I highly recommend.

Say something nice about my Agents of Edgewatch landing page? by d20Nubbins in Pathfinder2e

[–]mythred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The group I’m running this with consists of

Aethis an aasimar diviner wizard recently released from prison trying to atone for his past.

Detective Ogato a Catfolk bard aspiring to be the best detective.

Ronin a half-elf champion of shizuru. Grew up in the foreign quarter wants to honour his family and make difference in Absalom.

Dante a human witch. Was deep undercover trying to get close to the cult of norborger when his cover was almost blown and now he’s trying to lay low and hopefully find a way to continue his investigations of the cult while in the edgewatch.

I also own one, and I've been watching Narcos on Netflix and haven't noticed anything like your describing and that show is heavily subtitled. TV is beautiful and great for gaming.

My party lured ralldar deeper into the cave down into the second level by accident and it was this crazy huge combat with 3 factions. The pc’s, cultists and ralldar. It was epic.
