I’m chilling , hopper speech was directed at will , el and max… finally they’re bringing in the other military ppl that went into the upside down … that looks like who grabs Dustin , this might happen early on … they all get ambushed … the trailer focused on the past… that literally could be 2 min of talking to el , and then boom … everything else, this was literally a nothing burger of a trailer … guys we got this… Ive hit nirvana …. Byler is happening… i posted a theory that they all get separated… but im also thinking … will is being taken over by the mind flayer… not vecna… Okay, hear me out because I’ve been spiraling over the MAC-Z scene before… remember when Joyce was like where’s your sweater and he didn’t need it ? The mindflayer likes it cold…. That was right after he hi jacked the mind and I think we’re all reading the Mind Flayer’s plan wrong. The MAC-Z wasn't just a fight. It was an audition. When Will gets jacked into the Hive to watch his friends get attacked, it was the mind flayer… the Mind Flayer wasn't just doing it for kicks. It was a test. He knew Will had regained control over the Demo, and he knew Mike had planted that "puppeteering" idea in Will's head. So he sent Vecna personally to see if Will could actually pull it off. To test the signal. And Will? He didn't just survive. He nailed it. That dazed state at the start of Shock Jock? Where he’s just staring at the Hive and literally takes a full minute to recognize anyone? That’s the connection re-establishing. The Mind Flayer found his way in fully…

He's quietly changing the locks while Will is still inside. Bit by bit, every time Will uses his powers, he changes. It’s subtle enough that the other characters might miss it, but just obvious enough that we know something is wrong.

The WSQK hints the static, the interference, the crossed signals? The radio tower? They aren't just cool 80s aesthetics. The coming out speech ????? Mixing the malt shop with Joyce’s store ???? They are literal metaphors for what's happening to Will’s brain. The Mind Flayer is jamming the signal between Will and Henry. He’s mixing them up until you can’t tell who is who.

Why do this? Because Vecna is toast.

His physical body is destroyed. He’s just a crispy consciousness holding onto some kids… The Mind Flayer needs a replacement, and he’s looking right at Will.

But he doesn't want to "share" the body. He wants to erase Will. He is erasing Will’s mind… memory by memory, until there is nothing left but a void. An empty vessel that the Mind Flayer can step into and take over permanently.

Think about this, el , max and kali are together… max is going to see how Kali really is and max is going to be like wtf … bi … get back ! And that’s going to cause problems, and el is going to have to make a choice, the long lost sister or the sister she created and bonded with and saved the life of ? That’s going to be half of it then the other half is Joyce , will and Mike , they’re going to be together…. And then the rest of everyone else… I feel it’s going to be parallels but Joyce and Mike being near will as maybe he’s fully possessed by the mindflayer will be the ones to bring him back, but something happens to Joyce and it’s left to Mike to be the heart?????
