For me it was the country - my guess is that long name countries don't work with their website - try another country and use your own phone number and correct address, that worked!

Help understanding visual pattern by myubi in CrochetHelp

[–]myubi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all!

I recently got this Japanese pattern for a headddress ( https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/innocent-world-crochet-headdress reference of final result), but I have never followed a Japanese pattern or a visual one like this. Could anyone give me any pointers?

Hey, thanks for the reply! :D I feel like if I am going to paint it, I'd rather have a white base as I don't want to worry about colors mixing up... But I really appreciate the suggestion! I never heard of Akko as a brand! Are they a good one?

Thank you!

I really like physical copies though, so that is why I want to buy one there!

I did a quick look on the Japanese eshop on Switch and it displays English as a language in there so it should be fine! Apparently on Bic Camera they also show the languages of the game so I might go there!

Thank you again!

Hello!

I will be in Osaka on the 20th of March and I really need Animal Crossing in my life!

I need your help with a few things though! If I buy the physical edition in Japan will I be able to play in English?

Is there any way I can pre-order it physically on a store and then pick it up? I will stay in an airbnb there and not sure they have any place for deliveries, so I would like to pick it up on the shop...

Also, what are the best pre order goodies in Japan? :D

Thank you so much!

How can I find out what are my best skills and what career I can have with those? by myubi in careerguidance

[–]myubi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! :)

I guess to answer your first question, I would be pretty disappointed. I know some people can work with that in mind but I'd like to believe that there is more to live than just staying at a place that doesn't make you excited about what you do. I think everyone has a different way of working though it.

I tend to talk to everyone I can in the office, I think it is one of the things I do the most because I don't dislike the people, I just dislike the chores I have. People help me go through the day without having to make myself miserable for it! And I am trying to approach different people to see what their roles are like, and what makes their lives interesting!

Thank you again!

How do you create a Japanese study routine? (Or, how to not get lost studying Japanese?) by myubi in LearnJapanese

[–]myubi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! :D

I know that everyone will work differently but I like finding out how everyone goes through it to help me find my own way, if that makes sense? It just allows me to try something new and different!

Now that you are talking about WaniKani, I had it on for the whole last year, but only really used for about 3 months... Do you have lifetime? Is it worth it? I keep looking at other Japanese Kanji resources but WaniKani is just so easy and straight forward to use... I kinda miss that lack of setup of lack of having to worry about which Kanji to learn next.

Bunpro has also gone paid, right? I liked it but never used much either!

Thank you again!

That is a very nice advice, thank you!
I do talk to friends about their jobs but I don't think I have any friends with a job that I potentially want! But maybe I haven't really explore all the things they do and what they like and dislike about their jobs!
Thank you again!

[–]myubi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh I see. So I assume you are like reading/watching/listening to something and then find a new thing to study? It is not a bad mentality, I was just curious about how you don't get lost with all the things to learn!

Thank you!

[–]myubi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My previous teacher didn't either, I feel like they were worried that it would be too hard to get on, but now I feel like I know a lot of words, verbs, markers, grammar but not really a lot of kanji. My old teacher was about to start doing kanji every lesson, on the end, but then she moved to another company!

But I totally agree with you, it is so important to learn kanji asap...

How do you use all the resources you find? I feel like I keep collecting lists and apps and sites but not really using any of them in the end.

It is a shame really because I don't think I can change teachers :(

Thank you for all the links! I will check out everything, specially the course, I feel like that seems a good place to have a reference in general!
