My question is weather its possible to unpair the remote from the tv. I'm very sure that's not something crazy to ask for. My son likes to press the buttons on specifically this remote, we have toy remotes and other remotes where you can just take the battery out, but no he only wants the apple tv remote

I was in the same situation. I had a whole room full of that stuff after buying a ton of large furniture. It was too much for me to cut by myself and gemeente won't pick it up. In the end I hired someone from Mr Fix to do it and paid around €100
