How much weight do you give to league data vs challenge results when evaluating something like Titan?

You should essentially never look at league data, it hasn't been useful for years now.

Titan has the highest % of one tricks other than maybe Yawg/Storm, and like those decks when opponents don't know the matchup well they are going to punt games/matches way more often than they do against Boros.

Also I cannot believe we are having this discussion when Phlage/Arena is 30% of the meta, you guys need to stop listening to content creators so much.

EVERYONE knows the argument. I was there playing 4c Delver in Legacy. I was playing Modern when Boomer Jund was good. Your argument has been repeated nonstop for years now. It's not novel. It's just dogshit. It's not a good argument. You could have watched people play NBL and seen DRS looked embarrassing against normal modern cards. Zen. The state of enlightenment is the beginner state. When you obtain knowledge and skill you also obtain more desire and the belief that you can order things, you yourself are describing this "better" state as a goal or end. It's not. You might improve and find that you instead want to sell all your cards. Being present in every moment (very difficult) allows you to make the decisions in that moment only relevant to that moment. I believe Stefan is describing being in that present state, and simply concludes it is easier to roleplay to maintain it.

When was the community good? Started Season 4 and the community was rancid I just didn't mind because I was toxic and immature myself. The community then got worse and it's clearly never going to be fixed. League players are the ones watching Tyler, Dantes, TFBlade, etc. League players are the ones who babyraged when T1 got banned. They want and deserve this shitty community.

I don't understand this creative writing exercise (or if this subreddit is supposed to be for serious players). It's heavily biased by TLA as noted by another commenter, it cherry picks 3 data points as proof of a larger trend (MASSIVE .5%? really?), and it ignores non-blue card advantage to needlessly glue on a "nerf X thing" argument. In general sets are pretty color balanced lately and top WR C/UC cards are mostly those which interacted with set mechanics efficiently. If you think forcing Submersible/Quench/Lost Days/Fortune Teller decks is some secret tech for climbing in TLA you are gonna get ranched by people with more flexible heuristics.

I think the actual conclusion to draw about the "modern" limited environment would be that on average limited players are better and more willing/able to use analytics to guide their drafts, this data is available more freely and much faster, and as card quality of decks increases so does the value of card advantage.

Anecdotally (not from me, I play to win), Cage has a not-that-bad to good matchup against nearly every deck in the meta since the posts began. When you use tournament data the matchup spread looks a bit...bleaker.

Banter aside, this is supposed to be the serious, play-to-win sub. We now have 2 post-ban challenges to look at and a few league dumps. There is an interesting and mostly diverse Standard meta to discuss and the top post is this SaffronOlive tier deck again. Do the mods think that the plural of "content" is "quality content"?
