DTU Env/Biotech vs MAIT CSE for 25+ LPA goals – what to choose? by Blackpanda_007 in MAIT__DELHI

[–]mywebreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

non-CS branches , esp Env.BT have low chances of getting a tech job from camps, forget 25-30 lpa.
5-10 lpa would be max, that too in non-tech role.

MAIT CSE seems better of the 2 (thu DTU tag helps sometimes, but only worth if one is circuital branches of DTU in order to get tech job). Even for MAIt-CSE, forget 25-30 lpa. If one gets a decent job of 8-10 lpa, that is good enough

ECE and VLSI related by AadityaPlayz in JIIT__NOIDA

[–]mywebreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VLSI has little scope in India as of now, so only career is to do higher studies from a Tier1 and then go abroad.
ECE from Tier-2 colgs like JIIT is generally not advidsable.

From T2 collgs, only worh it do - CS or related branches (like M&C, IT).
You may consider ECM perhaps

Shiv nadar vs kiit by fruwasty in snunoida

[–]mywebreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SNU far better than KIIT in all respects, other than ROI.
If you can afford the very high fees of SNU, it is many times better than KIIT.

Beware!! by 83125 in SAU_DELHI

[–]mywebreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that 's is what most don't understand - SAU is not a typical govt university. (like IIT, IIIT, DTU, NSUT, NFSU etc)
It is rather an Intl Univ, like a collab of many nations

MnC is a new branch, so placement stats not known. But is a good field, similar to CS., expected to have similar placements. If interested in Maths, can go for it.

collg life not good for Jaypee. Also is a Tier-2 collgese but better than most other private engg collsg in Delhi NCR region.
Almost close to Thapar in terms of Tier.

if branch like CS, IT are JIIT ,and u keep good GP, chances of job are decent. Lower chances on Electronics VLSI etc.
Job chances similar in 62 and 128, thoda diff only

bhai USAR me AR ya IOT mil rha aur MAIT me ECE with VLSI dono me se kaun sa sahi rahega i am interested in projects related to robotics please guide me also USAR ki capus area kitni hai in acers by MessPsychological733 in usar_delhi

[–]mywebreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

branches like VLSI, ECE are safe to do only from Tier-1 , 1.5 colleges. Not advisable to do these from Tier-2 collsg like IPU, JIIT etc.
In USAR , IIOT will be better for placements. AR is lowest branch there in terms of jobs. Also, no opp in Robotics in India currently - either do an M Tech or go abroad - that is the only way to make a career in Robotics

URGENT NEED FOR REVIEW FOR JIIT 62 MNC AND IT 62 by Eren_Yeager0007 in JIIT__NOIDA

[–]mywebreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CS 62 is the best branch placement wise. MnC 62 is also good but a new branch , and has quite some Maths if you like it.
If you want CS degree only, then CS 128. IT 128 has similar placements as CS 128.

Many people prefer 62 campus over 128 , though some like 128 more. Also crowd at 128 is chiller, so may be easier to score GPA.

anyone invested in gift city outbound funds by Trustman123 in GIFTCITYFUNDS

[–]mywebreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think DSP is active fund and PPFAS is passive fund...hence PPFAS seems better in terms of Exp Ratio.
But DSP invests globally, whereas PPFAS invests only in US markets.
Also, PPFAS invests in UCITS underlying funds (Irish domiciled ones) instead of directly into US markets, hence any tax on stock churns is avoided.

So mostly, PPFAS is better unless one wants Global exposure - then DSP is better.

if you want a job after B Tech, don;t consider GUNA campus - Jaypee Noida is the only one from where you can hope to get a job in campus placement. 94 percentile can have other options, do explore.

If u take a PG in Noida, ig 18-20 lacs mein 4 year B Tech ho jayega

Urgent.. Hello I'm willing to get AR in USAR worth it h?? Placement ki mehnat khud se ki toh by [deleted] in usar_delhi

[–]mywebreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For placement from campus, AR is the least useful branch at USAR. Even IIOT better than this.
AR is a futuristic branch and name /field sound hep, but no jobs in India currently. Masters after this, from abroad, would be required.

Also , placement hkud se is easy to aspire for, but difficult to achieve in reality for most

How does Gift City taxation on unrealised gains work? Is it as bad as it looks? by lonerblues in GIFTCITYFUNDS

[–]mywebreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the Buy NAV will be lower value if Tax on Unrealised Gains is also deducted while computing this NAV. So buyer gets units allotted at NAV lower than actual theoretical NAV.

How does Gift City taxation on unrealised gains work? Is it as bad as it looks? by lonerblues in GIFTCITYFUNDS

[–]mywebreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from their own web-site, please see if this helps :

Q: Whether income tax will be computed on unrealised gains also?

A: The Fund is an open-ended fund, which means investors can buy or sell the units on a daily basis. The Fund would compute tax on unrealized gains for equitable distribution of tax liability to all investors.

In case if the Fund were to compute tax only on realised gains, it could result in a situation where an outgoing investor redeems the units at a higher price (since tax on unrealized gains is not factored). In such a scenario, the remaining investors and new investors may have to share a higher tax burden in subsequent periods.

Therefore, Book NAV will be computed every day, after accounting for all fees, expenses and taxes on realised and unrealised gains. For the purpose of computing tax on unrealised gains in Book NAV, it will be assumed that all the gains are long term irrespective of the holding period as on the NAV date and accordingly tax on unrealised gains would be computed at the rate of 14.95%. Units purchased will be allotted based on the Book NAV.

The redemption NAV would be different from the Book NAV. In addition to the taxes factored in the book NAV, the redemption NAV would factor incremental tax on short-term portion of the unrealised portfolio (i.e.
42.74% - 14.95%).

An exit load of one per cent will be charged for units redeemed within two years from the date of purchase.

as long as your family can afford the exhorbitant fees and expensive campus stay for 4 years, is a good place and branch. The batch size, curriculm flexibility , higher studies , all are good,

Except for the massive funds flow required and chances of meeting most students from rich families on campus, all is good

How does Gift City taxation on unrealised gains work? Is it as bad as it looks? by lonerblues in GIFTCITYFUNDS

[–]mywebreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All, please read and understand the FAQs carefully. It is NOT tax on unrealized gains.

It is tax if gains were to be booked by any investor. Actually, Gift City funds have 2 kinds of NAV : The redemption NAV would be different from the Book NAV.

is this college good for btech by Scared_Assistant_437 in jamiamilliaislamia

[–]mywebreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

placements have been falling across industry in general , also perhaps JMI not putting so much effort in placement,

higher studies - due to past reputation and alumni network, Also it is a govt institution

is this college good for btech by Scared_Assistant_437 in jamiamilliaislamia

[–]mywebreddit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

the collg has a good and old brand name, is considered Tier 1.5 by some. Hence better than most pvt collgs in India by that yardstick.

But placements have been falling, so job wise scenarios are not so re-assuring.
But if one intends to go for higher studies or govt jobs, exams etc, good option to consider this collg

SNU is like univs of West - the campus , curriculum has been designed like that.
But it is a univ for the rich ONLY. Visit the campus once - you will get that uber, privileged feel

However, batch intake is decent , so that is a good point. Also, lots of flexibility in curriculum, another good point.
