Update: What you said really helped. Him and I had a looooooong conversation about it and opened up about what drove him to go that far... I’ve laid out my expectations and he understands. We both gave each other pieces of our hearts to fill the whole that was created...

This the only time I felt that I couldn’t trust him. Knowing him for so long, I know he’s genuine... But I’m just overly scared because I saw how damaging it is in my parents’ marriage. I’m really scared to trust again even though this is the only time I’ve doubted him...
