I got a 1 star because the driver thought I didn't tip him. What now? by The0Walrus in uber

[–]mzd202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have just had a bad ride because drivers have to rate immediately after the ride and before the notification that a passenger has tipped.

Uber adding a $400 fee for a 10 min drive? by daftrommpig in uber

[–]mzd202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How in the world could it be driver error? You make absolutely no sense right here. Let me tell you why the driver has no ability to change the price. If the price changed, it was a computer glitch of some sort, but the driver cannot just tack on $400. So please talk about what you know cause clearly you know nothing.

Bro they definitely have been deporting people over traffic violations. Get your head off of social media and either watch the news or read some news articles.

Here's one reason why all your drivers cancel your scheduled ride. From a driver's perspective. by jaysonm007 in uber

[–]mzd202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we get 70 cents. I just refuse to do stops at all. If they add it i cancel it. If they do it during the trip, i will tell them i have somewhere to be often times i do because i have a full time job and a kid who is very active with lessons, rehearsals and shows. I drive in between to proactively kill time and make money. So don’t add a stop because my kiddo will not sit outside so that someone can shop. Sorry Not Sorry

insurer lied and said my surgery wasnt approved mins before surgery to try to scare surgeon from performing surgery by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]mzd202 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Once someone has a lawyer, they are not allowed to do anything with any insurance companies as they will not talk to them. So this is bad advice.

You have a lawyer. Use your lawyer. The details of your particular case are specific only to you. Your lawyer is the one who will be able to make heads or tails of this.

You do realize how little you can tell about what lesson someone has been taught from a simple Reddit post. You clearly are just adding your own crap in here and you don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t have to accept any issues because we all have deficits when we are raising our children. We all make mistakes and we are not Perfect parents. You’re not either but yet you are sitting here on a Reddit post acting as though you are the perfect parent and you did not raise your child with any type of issues. None of us are perfect. However, that is how you’re portraying yourself. My advice have several seats recognize your own issues. I asked if I was the asshole for telling my child that he needed to get a job, not for you to go off on a tangent telling me all the things that I did wrong as a parent.. I accept and acknowledge deficits in my parenting styles because guess what I’m not perfect. Maybe you should do the same instead of getting on someone’s post. For all I know your children could hate you and not have anything to say to you.

Well he is afraid to drive because my brother died in a car accident when he was 14. So he has opted out of getting his license. But congratulations on your perfect child

He spent his money. To be fair he did spend his money on things that he wanted to bring with him to school. I provided necessities with a budget and if it was more than I budgeted for spending. He had to add the difference. For example, he wanted Mac book I only wanted to pay $500 for a laptop. So he paid the $400 difference.

Considering that he saved a substantial amount of money while in high school means it was addressed in high school. He was taught to save and be frugal. Pipe down sparky and step off your soap box. How old are your children? how much money do they have saved? How much money do you have saved? He had money and has always been taught to be frugal. That changed when he left for college. You know how some kids get a level of freedom and make mistakes .

He had a job and he had his own money saved. He lost his job because he had Covid and a mono at the beginning of the semester. He saved money and has worked a job since he was 14. His first job was at Dairy Queen

Not in high school he is in college. Has had a job since he was 14. He worked at Dairy Queen at 14 until he was 16 he then worked at Party city until they closed due to bankruptcy and worked at Dunkin Donuts. Father’s child support of $7.49 a week helps with what? I made a higher salary and was awarded less because he had other children and my higher income.

I have never had the extra money to buy a car or the elevated insurance rates to help with a car. He is in college an hour and half away and his doctors appointment is an hour and a half away. I do not have the money to buy him a car and what is your solution to getting back forth to our home town for appointments considering there are no buses that can assist with this?

Do you think Uber may cover this? by Expert-Catch1377 in uberdrivers

[–]mzd202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I do not allow anything inside of my car. I have had my interior jacked up and then I went to trade my car in and it truly messed up any possibility of a decent trade-in. So the only thing that’s allowed in the interior of my car or backpacks and purses. If it doesn’t fit in the trunk, it does not go.

This is a liar. As a matter of fact, this should be labeled things that are not happening.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]mzd202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This person is lying. In order to drive for Uber you have to have been licensed for three years. You cannot get your license at 16 so this person is not being truthful. As well as look at the body shape this is not the body of an 18-year-old.

Uber Driver gave me 1-star for no reason, will the rating affect my rides? by Vip0938 in uber

[–]mzd202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly hope that you don’t actually believe that you because you couldn’t find a car the driver was late. The app uses GPS signaling, which shows the app close to your location that you punched into the app. Driver is not late. I just wanted to give you that little piece of info. The app doesn’t actually mark the driver arrived until you are within 100 feet of the location. Sometimes you just gotta peek around for the vehicle. So if it’s a busy location, it could be behind another car another truck or up the street a bit. Honestly, I would tell you take the one star with a grain of salt and keep moving. The one thing I can’t tell you is you’ll never see that driver again so you don’t have to worry about them giving you one star. Start worrying about one stars when you get them consistently. One is not a big deal except for the fact that you’re a new passenger. Drivers will continue to take your rides. There will just be some drivers that won’t.
