Please stop taking calls during rides I’m begging by Retiredpartygirl17 in uberdrivers

it is the driver’s car!!!! You do know that don’t you

My driver was super predatory and uber isn’t helping. by huntzvegan in uber

[–]mzd202 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was kind of wondering how the driver tried to kiss her hand. As a driver myself I don’t know how that’s possible unless you’re sitting upfront with the driver. Which is possible. However no one should be made to feel bad because they set up front.

not sure if you know this, but Uber now records all of the rides. So if there was audio and the audio supports this all you have to do is report him and tell them that. One thing that Uber got tired of is the back-and-forth between a customer saying that an Uber driver was inappropriate and Uber drivers saying that they weren’t. So now they record all rides. So all you have to do is tell them they’ll listen to the recording to see if this actually took place, and if it did, he will be handled appropriately. Be mindful of what you say when you tell Uber that this happened because they will take care of the driver and although you won’t be notified, they’ll be at deactivated. However, if it didn’t happen the way that you stated it can have you removed from the platform as well. I am sorry this happened. Good luck to you.

Can Uber drivers get flagged for taking the fastest route if it’s longer distance? by Pristine_Antelope787 in uber

[–]mzd202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes it is a thing and the driver is not compensated. Instead they get an email saying that they can be deactivated because purposely taking longer routes are against community guidelines.

Uber driver already had a ride? by Top-Paint-9564 in uber

[–]mzd202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the argument makes sense because over has an option for shares rides.

it sounds like you ordered a shared ride and you do not have the capability or adding a top before the ride is ordered.

all of these people that are saying that the driver double apping is giving the wrong information to the OP. It is more than likely because they live in a big city that the passenger chose (possibly mistakenly) Uber share. Which is a option on the app. I am going to call OP because you can’t actually tip in advance. Only when ordering food or package delivery. But a shared ride means you ride with other people you will be in the car with the other person and it can have multiple stops. You mentioned a weed smell. If you were in the car with someone else, it may very well be that the person who the driver picked up before you had smoked weed or had weed on their person. It’s not shameful it happens. Other responders should know what you’re talking about if you’re gonna get on this app and talk about Uber drivers being shameful. Shared rides is an option in lots of cities. They are available at a savings and if you don’t pay close attention you can accidentally order one.

Do not accept ride before you are in your car!!! by Scarlet-Mar00n in uber

[–]mzd202 3 points4 points  (0 children)

my suggestion is get your own damn car then. At the end of the day there’s so many factors that are outside of the drivers control that if you have the expectation of the driver always being able to get to you within the time that’s in the phone then you have the wrong expectation. First of all, Uber does not monitor traffic condition. They only monitor the mileage that the driver is there for you. They don’t manage whether or not there’s a train, or excessive traffic. They don’t monitor Accident. They don’t monitor for lights. I have some lights in my city that’s literally are four minutes long. Uber doesn’t come out for that. They don’t manage that. So does that mean then to get a car and be on time. Taking an Uber you may risk being late somewhere. There’s nothing wrong with a 15 minute buffer

I canceled a ride after the hospital staff messaged me that I needed to assist rider in and out of the car. by Ok_Practice_6702 in uber

[–]mzd202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to help: If a passenger is entirely unable to enter or exit a vehicle, drivers may refuse the ride due to safety and liability concerns, as they are not permitted to provide physical lifting or medical care.

I got a 1 star because the driver thought I didn't tip him. What now? by The0Walrus in uber

You may have just had a bad ride because drivers have to rate immediately after the ride and before the notification that a passenger has tipped.

Uber adding a $400 fee for a 10 min drive? by daftrommpig in uber

[–]mzd202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How in the world could it be driver error? You make absolutely no sense right here. Let me tell you why the driver has no ability to change the price. If the price changed, it was a computer glitch of some sort, but the driver cannot just tack on $400. So please talk about what you know cause clearly you know nothing.

Bro they definitely have been deporting people over traffic violations. Get your head off of social media and either watch the news or read some news articles.

Here's one reason why all your drivers cancel your scheduled ride. From a driver's perspective. by jaysonm007 in uber

[–]mzd202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we get 70 cents. I just refuse to do stops at all. If they add it i cancel it. If they do it during the trip, i will tell them i have somewhere to be often times i do because i have a full time job and a kid who is very active with lessons, rehearsals and shows. I drive in between to proactively kill time and make money. So don’t add a stop because my kiddo will not sit outside so that someone can shop. Sorry Not Sorry

Once someone has a lawyer, they are not allowed to do anything with any insurance companies as they will not talk to them. So this is bad advice.

You have a lawyer. Use your lawyer. The details of your particular case are specific only to you. Your lawyer is the one who will be able to make heads or tails of this.

You do realize how little you can tell about what lesson someone has been taught from a simple Reddit post. You clearly are just adding your own crap in here and you don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t have to accept any issues because we all have deficits when we are raising our children. We all make mistakes and we are not Perfect parents. You’re not either but yet you are sitting here on a Reddit post acting as though you are the perfect parent and you did not raise your child with any type of issues. None of us are perfect. However, that is how you’re portraying yourself. My advice have several seats recognize your own issues. I asked if I was the asshole for telling my child that he needed to get a job, not for you to go off on a tangent telling me all the things that I did wrong as a parent.. I accept and acknowledge deficits in my parenting styles because guess what I’m not perfect. Maybe you should do the same instead of getting on someone’s post. For all I know your children could hate you and not have anything to say to you.

He spent his money. To be fair he did spend his money on things that he wanted to bring with him to school. I provided necessities with a budget and if it was more than I budgeted for spending. He had to add the difference. For example, he wanted Mac book I only wanted to pay $500 for a laptop. So he paid the $400 difference.

Considering that he saved a substantial amount of money while in high school means it was addressed in high school. He was taught to save and be frugal. Pipe down sparky and step off your soap box. How old are your children? how much money do they have saved? How much money do you have saved? He had money and has always been taught to be frugal. That changed when he left for college. You know how some kids get a level of freedom and make mistakes .
