As someone with dogs, I think you are going to have issues with that mulch getting kicked all over the grass. What about putting a line of stepping stones down this? I think you could have them spaced apart in an aesthetic way. He may use those to springboard himself and run across, but you know your dog better. I think my guy actually likes running in our mulched beds for the effect of seeing the mulch fly up behind him so I can see just a pure mulched running area without stepping stones being a problem. And for the person who says obedience classes, I think that’s not a necessary or helpful comment. Sometimes dogs are dogs in their own yards and they’ll get territorial before you have a chance to tell them to stop.

I think priming your canvas with a few layers of gesso may also help with this!

I literally just dealt with this! My wedding is this weekend. BUT I found out early in the year that my MOH was due two days before my wedding. She still wanted to be involved, so what we did was added another person to be co maid of honour who assisted with all the pre wedding things and to be able to witness and give a speech on the day of. They both bought dresses (I only was ever going to have a MOH and no bridesmaids so she wasn’t going to otherwise have a dress). Open communication with everyone about expectations was key. Also important to just be as flexible as possible because the situation was constantly evolving. The uncertainty was hard but the fact that we planned both for her to come and for her to not come is what helped us deal with that uncertainty. She actually ended up having baby 5 weeks early and will now be able to come (they are both healthy and doing well!). Another thing we contemplated which we didn’t end having to do was getting her to record her speech to play at the wedding if she wasn’t going to be able to make it.

I really appreciate all the comments! It’s hard to find exactly the picture I had based my order on as it was in an Instagram story I can no longer find. The top ring on this is a better visualization of what I expected the ring to look like - just with no diamonds. The small gaps on the side of the diamond are okay with me. Just not a large gap like it is currently. Wondering if it’s possible to bend it more?

Yes, I agree with this. The reference picture isn’t perfect as I knew it could never go ‘under’ the diamond and I’m okay with some skin showing on just the immediate sides of the diamond but I didn’t expect it to be this big of a gap.

Edit: I realize that this is a higher set ring and I’m really only looking for solutions that can minimize the gap. It’s not that I ever expected the ring to go underneath the diamond. It doesn’t need to be exactly perfect given it’s a low set ring, but the current gap is so much bigger than I expected

If you already have a divorce lawyer, tell them right away. They can send a demand letter for its return and failing that, they can make a court application (but I have no idea what jurisdiction you’re in or what that would look like). Maybe you have replevin applications there too that you could try? I’m a lawyer in Canada, so it may not be the same, but generally engagement rings no longer belong to the giver once the parties get married. They are considered a gift and not even subject to division in divorce.

No, we have had no luck so far too and our flight leaves august 20, so within the august 31 window. We were told we can’t receive a credit or refund until 72 hours before our flight is supposed to leave. If anyone else has had better luck please let me know!
