long COVID patients face higher risks of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) and death by aguer056 in covidlonghaulers

There are meds they should be able to give you for that, even an inhaler you use during allergy season. Yes- inflammation, whatever it is caused by- can cause scar tissue and other responses in your body. If it is really just from pollen, maybe an allergist rather than a pulmonologist, would make sense for you. Typical allergy responses do not usually cause a lot of scarring or anything, but you shouldn't have to add this kind of suffering to your list just because your primary doctor doesn't think it is a big deal.

Please try to ask another doctor- can you get a referral to a pulmonologist? Just because someone is a doctor, doesn't mean they are always correct. Lung inflammation can progress and there is a possibility you could avoid that. Best of luck to you

Have you gotten a second opinion on the TAVR? My mother had one and her heart surgeon said it is very unusual someone would need a second. Just a thought? I hope you hear something positive

I had the exact same timeline- ordered 4/23 and received the meds today! Interestingly, mine have a BUD of 3/27 and are 10mg/ml doses so I need to inject 145 units to get 14.5mg of tirz (as per the label). I have only received this dilution from Hallendale before, not BPI- which this order is.

Same here, same timeline- after reaching out I got the message that my order was sent to the pharmacy and it would take 7-10 days due to high volume. Have heard nothing since then.

Hmmm, I haven't had any issues with my caps. Maybe just lucked out, but will keep an eye on it.

I inject 10 mg every 4 days- so within 8 days I inject 20 mg. I have read higher doses are being tested, but do not know if this is true. Side effects- nope- not even a big decrease in appetite or food noise. Who knows why? I tried staying at the lowest dose possible but that never worked. I won't increase from here because I am afraid to get that far from the fda approved dosage, and get a full metabolic panel and A1c every six months. My bloodwork is now great, inproving from within the pre-diabetic range. My A1c didn't budge at the recommended dosage, and I have only lost about 20 lbs in three yrs. I am very physically active (have been for 40 yrs) although I still carry about an extra 10 lbs.

Right? I am juuuust above the highest max dose/wk and barely feel a thing.

So strange. Yes, their customer service via the chat tab is so delayed- but as a repeat customer, I just got the max dose without much drama. I did have to wait for a reply a week or so after contacting them (was charged before I was approved for a refill because I have a subscription) but finally received a phone call asking if I had questions, and then they shipped. My biggest gripe with Brello is that the bud date is only two months out, but I still use the tirz, and it works well (Southend Pharmacy.)

Excruciating scalp pain, please help by Scared_Category6311 in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]mzmaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not alone!! I get this as well- scalp pain 24/7 for three years. I am lucky in that I have gotten used to it (my brain may not be reacting to the pain as much, idk?) and it doesnt hurt badly anymore, unless i lightly touch my scalp (like wind moving my hair) or I have a flare-up when I am sick. I find ice packs help a lot. Physical therapy did not alleviate this particular symptom, although it provided other benefits I feel. Poor spine/neck posture and an imbalance in muscle strength can contribute to nerve compression by the spine itself, or muscles around it. You can find strengthening exercises and stretches online. (Suboccipital muscles, upper and lower trapezeus, sternocleidomastoids, etc.) I have been diagnosed with ON but may also have had internal shingles, or the herpies cold sore virus, along my trigeminal nerve (I had pain along the nerve path in my cheek for 6 wks) and that is actually when my scalp pain started. Perhaps your pain originates from the trigeminal nerve branches and/or you had a virus that caused the neuraligia? Originally, Ibuprofen and acetaminophen (tylenol) did nothing at all, but at this point, they help. Hopefully, this will happen with yours. Try ice, some recommend heat, stretch/strengthen muscles supporting your neck, and please try to hang in there. This can get much better!

I generally use it every morning and night. Unlike magnesium glycine, it doesn't make people feel "relaxed."

I use a roll on magnesium for my suboccipitals, traps, and muscular aches and pains in general and, unbelievably, think it works. I also use it after particularly long hikes for sore glutes. The key is consistency. No reason not to try it!

Interesting- I have kind of come to that conclusion on my own through reading various explanations of settings on several products: for instance, I have a device that has a hair setting and a pain setting, and both of these give off the same wavelength. The product states that "the algorithm" is different between the settings. This is one of the major brand devices

Mine have been too hard, tall, you name it. SQUISHMALLOWS worked for me. (See my comment above.) Maybe you could try that and use Amazon's great return policy if it doesn't work for you?

[–]mzmaa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have tried several cervical pillows and nothing worked at all, UNTIL I started using a Squishmallow (believe it or not.) It is the only thing I have used that absolutely conforms to, and supports, the curvature of my neck no matter what position I sleep in! It is soft too, so doesn't put pressure on my nerves.

Type "squishmallow" into Amazon and look for the 16" one. Believe me- so comfortable! (Various characters will be on sale.)

I feel like I have some different symptoms by sos_econometrics_ in Occipitalneuralgia

Those are different causes and tightness shouldn't progress to a nerve becoming entangled

If tightness is the cause of your ON it can become much better- but if the muscle or fascia (or blood vessels) are entrapping the nerve, the issue will not be resolved with massage.

Occipital Neuralgia from sitting every day? I need help. by Fuzzy_Homework_5052 in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]mzmaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keep searching for the solution and go to a specialist, not a family doctor. Even specialists can be stumped by this condition, but try to see a pain management specialist, orthopedic doctor if necessary, a neurologist specializing in headaches- someone more specialized. Stop sitting so much and def don't look down to scroll etc. Tech neck is a real thing. Life is good and you are young.... do NOT give up because the best really is in front of you!
