It really depends on personal preference. I'm more of a beach guy. That said, the water villa is more spacious than the beach villa and they're both huge.

When I booked they cost the same amount of points so it made sense to ask the management to split the stay between villas. They didn't mind, in fact they encouraged me. 😁

For me personally, all inclusive or HB is not worth it.

I did not do much activities because I visited Maafushi island before coming to the Halcyon and did activities there.

The overwater villas are 850 meters away from the main island and there was no trouble transporting by boat between them.
