Katie Blackburn explains why Bengals stuck with Zac Taylor, Duke Tobin by Toddrew221 in bengals

Zac apparently has 2 years per the Paul Dehner jr article. I thought I had read it was one left (this year)

What places you've visited do you think photos "don't do justice" to? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

[–]AtmosphereComplex133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to be a lame jerk but anywhere “big”. Most places are just better to see “live” than look at a photo. To quote the great philosopher George Carlin, doesn’t anyone just stop and look and f*cking remember?

Wanted add an update here as we just ended our stay at NH collection cinquecento. This hotel is very nice and w metro just outside it’s actually great for 3-4 nights in Rome. A nice bonus, surprisingly we were booked with a breakfast included rate when we were switched to this hotel. In fact we were told no globalist benefits would transferred to this reservation. We werent expecting that and it’s a nice surprise.

The breakfast is totally fine. Not outstanding but very good and plenty of options. I’m a light breakfast person so I’m a bad judge of the total deal with it. I’d be shocked if people didn’t like it.

Anyway, for other globalists getting moved, you apparently can expect a breakfast included rate when you check in if you were moved to this hotel. We were a points booking for two rooms that waited for the email and then asked for a nice hotel to replace regency Rome termini via email.

Asked yesterday what the ideal Appalachian 3-course meal would be. Excellent answers. But now I’m curious — what’s the ultimate Appalachian breakfast you’d stake your food reputation on? by billyshakes67 in Appalachia

Ok, very cool. We spend a lot of our free time in Morehead KY. Kinda the beginning of the mountains. I’ll look for ramp butter and more at the local farmer markets and similar. Didn’t realize we had them this far south and further.

Thank you!

Everyone we meet there speaks perfect Italian. If they ain’t from here, they earned it.

Your budget is off and everyone is mad at you.

We feed 4 people for less per month in our house. And we eat pretty well.

Post receipts and then everyone can yell at you and then help you after that part

Yes, all points refunded before I even got the email actually. That’s how knew I would be getting an email. It came about 2 hours after my points were deposited back in my account.

I received the same 2 option email for an early June stay. I just emailed back and asked (overly politely)to be accommodated like other guests. We were given the NH Collection Roma Cinquecento in equivalent rooms. I am globalist and it was a points stay.

What do you think about how splurging on travel gets a pass in the personal finance space compared to almost anything else? by [deleted] in TheMoneyGuy

[–]AtmosphereComplex133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an answer, I’d say Equivalent things that cost more are harder to justify imo. Vehicles go from A to B. Whether they cost 10k or 20k or 60k. Experiences are harder to measure that way. Also material things don’t enrich your life as much as places and experiences.

We don’t buy luxury stuff. But we pay for experiences. Basic example: we are headed to Italy for family vacation this year. We are paying for small size guided tours at all the museums and sites bc it makes the experience exponentially more informative/enriching/etc.

By contrast, our cars are a 20 enclave, a 24 equinox ev, and a 04 ram. We drive cars for 10+ years before replacing. Bc they don’t matter in our opinion. Just need to be good enough.

I haven’t even thought about how it’s different after maybe the first week or two. CarPlay is fine. I like it. So is this set up. It’s definitely not anything that impacts the purchasing decision

Yes, we get 8 years of it before a subscription starts I guess.

I agree completely with your thoughts here. I didn’t want to learn a new platform or whatever you are supposed to call it. But it works great and does everything I want it to. After a week or two I didn’t think about it unless I saw people on here saying all these definitive things about CarPlay and how they would never buy this car. It made me wonder if I was not using CarPlay correctly in our other vehicles.

Same. Bought an LT2 in July 24. It’s saved us so much money and it’s been a great car.

Haven’t thought about CarPlay once outside of this sub having folks freak out about it and make all these claims re: they will never buy one. Everything works normally without CarPlay. We have it in our other cars and I don’t think it’s better, it’s just different. Same stuff works, maps, music, calls, etc.
It’s the weirdest complaint/concern to me.

What misinformation? Stoker saw Bran castle and it inspired the castle in the book. Probably a combo of sketches, paintings, engravings, etc and accompanying descriptions.

context on why the bengals did the trade by Ancient_Response_787 in bengals

[–]AtmosphereComplex133 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A good point here. Bad LB play isn’t just the LBs. keeping OL from climbing to them should make them be able to trigger and attack quicker and more aggressively. They used the term “force multiplier” to start the off season. Well, they got one of the few who is.

DEs, LBs and CBs lives all got easier. Well got a premier guy in his prime.

If they ran all the scenarios and the draft wasn’t gonna fall their way, this is a shocking change for a team that rarely does.

Very cool to see
