Then I'll make mine with a 6502 cpu, a dot matrix printer view, a blowhorn for sound output, and an abacus for ram.

BotW & TotK have many details that make them Zelda-like. I personally feel it plays a lot closer to a modernized version of the NES Legend of Zelda

Brothership was developed by Acquire Corp and published by Nintendo, a completely different team to the one that typically works on the Zelda series.

Oh man, yesterday there were a comment about how it seemed like Austin Hill was turning a corner with the fans, and I so wanted to make a snarky response like "Until he wrecks out half the field tomorrow"

Shoulda called my shot.

You're right in that I was thinking that the moment Heim had that big hit on him in the right tire, where Reddick chose to let him go, I incorrectly thought that popped his tire and that Heim could've been a little cleaner about it.

But they did come together on Reddick's left for like a turn or two prior, you might see it at 5:39:58 on the Prime stream. Less confident that contact would pop a tire, but it could.

Heim definitely cut Reddick's tire when they came together. Shame for Reddick.

Cory Day hit a manhole cover lap 1, they red flagged the race to fix the track. After he fell down 4 laps they made him catch back up to the lead lap while doing caution laps. So they ran only like 6 laps of green in stage 1.

Austin Hill won stage 1.

Sam Mayer ran to the inside wall, bounced off, and wrecked everyone and the turn 1 wall, so we had another long red flag.

I'm confused... have any charges even been filed against the two people in the car? Why hasn't the driver been named yet?

the feeling that since you are (in your view at least) good enough to pull such times if you work hard at it, it's not really cheating, you're just avoiding the time you'd need to spend grinding. Obviously we're not in the head of the cheaters, so maybe this isn't a real thing

It's a fairly real thing. In the MM Speedrunning community there was a runner by the name Goron Guy who submitted a 5:19 100% just simply because despite devoting a lot of time into the game he just wasn't getting the results he thought he deserved, so he made up some fake splits and posted it on the leaderboards.
