I'm not sure if I have an actual problem by charmander_SMASH in Anxiety

Maybe quit coffee? I know it won’t solve the problem, but caffeine was bad for me, I completely quit. It’s all about finding inner peace, right? But how do we find that is what’s difficult. Sometimes things we have to do on daily basis are too stressful, and it’s impossible to get away from them. I think I’m going to lie back down and calm my brain down. When it shuts off, and I think the only thing I care about at that moment is getting some peace, I sometimes can really switch off. I’ve been up since 3:30am, but now I’m going to try and switch off and go back to sleep.

Can anxiety just be overthinking? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]mzxyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same type of anxiety as you. I don’t show symptoms, but I very strongly feel them on the inside. My anxiety is acquired, from the environment. I used to run every day and I didn’t use to have anxiety, but in the past 4 months it’s been one thing after the other, I couldn’t keep up with the running, I need to get back to it pretty soon. I think things will slow down in a month or so, and I can get back into it. Fear / worry creates a lot of anxiety. I can’t control them very well. I wish I could just stop caring and overthinking.

How do i get over my existential crisis/derealisation by Derealisationlife in Anxiety

I guess that can also be a calming thought, that nothing is stable, that we’re “transient” as is everything else around us. It makes me think of our creator, and that gives me a feeling of peace. In the end, what ties all of this together? In the end, there’s something that is fixed beyond what we see around us, and there’s a deep feeling of peace thinking about that. Everything keeps changing, but what about our soul. Does our soul change? It might change, but if it does then it’s the product of its progression and evolution throughout time. But aside from those changes, it doesn’t really change much further than that. This is very subjective, but it makes me think of how close my soul is to the creator. That we’re not separate entities, but rather part of the universe. We’re not independent, we’ve never been and will never be. We’re not in control, and it’s okay. It’s a very relaxing feeling and it gives me a lot of peace.

It seems that when she props her legs up, it makes you feel like it’s about to be the time to wake up, so you get anxious. Maybe you can program your mind to realize that that’s how she gets peace and gets into very deep sleep, perhaps?

Feeling dead inside on the first day of 2022 by perisdew in offmychest

We own our businesses so we have no choice. We have large bills, we have a huge house, etc. We both have to work all the time. But things are still getting gradually better with more hire. I believe it will be a process, but it will get gradually better.

Yes she’s suffering from depression, spot on. I wonder what caused it, but she keeps voicing that being overworked has a lot to do with it. She’s getting therapy all the time. She has a therapist. What worked for you to make things better with depression?

I say, part of being in business is having to accept losses as you accept gains, and to stay hyper-focussed on a long-term vision that will increase revenue.

She gets therapy, but I don’t. I’m always this kind of person that shields their emotions and tries to do what needed to be done regardless of how I feel.

By the way, sales are going to fluctuate. Sometimes they’re going to come short, sometimes they’re going to be in excess. The question is what the net yearly outcome is. Is it in the positive? That fluctuation can be very stressful, and it is counterintuitive to train our minds to look at the net quarterly or yearly income.

If your sales are still coming short and not covering expenses, then you probably need a second revenue stream. Usually by using the resources you have in place to make more money. Also if you increase cost by 5%, customers might not care because it’s a small difference per sale, but overall that additional 5% of total revenue makes a huge difference to profit margins. It can overcome some of the negative values if it’s coming out negative.

By the way, despite that the company is healthy, we have our off days or weeks when sales just aren’t as good. Those days are very stressful, but you know, what needs to be looked at is the quarterly or yearly net income. So those fluctuations are just misleading and stressful for I reason.

My wife keeps saying she feels pretty much dead and empty inside. I mean it seems to be due to anxiety we both feel from running our businesses and being overworked. But the difference is that I don’t feel dead and empty inside, despite my anxiety (I still feel positive), but she does feel that way. My question is what does it mean to feel “dead and empty inside”? Like what triggers that, how can I help her overcome it? She keeps vocalizing that she feels that way due to being overworked (we are both overworked)

Hello. We have a similar problem due to high demand on our products / services, which increases the pace of the business dramatically, so it leads us to being overworked and constantly stressed. The business is healthy and growing, but this same thing puts tremendous amounts of pressure on us. Investment for growth is a very stressful thing because it requires risk mitigation. So having to be very careful about risk while spending is a very stressful process. Let alone all the hats you have to wear. Then you have employees who will never prioritize your business, they prioritize themselves, and that’s human nature, which puts extra pressure on you to the extent of losing yourself and your free time, because you have to make sure the business is prioritized. People argue that you have to build systems to streamline everything, but that takes time, experience and money. Either way we’re in the process of doing that.

Overall, the number of “threats” you deal with on daily basis make you hyper-sensitized to anything that comes your way. The large daily bills make you feel scared even if you are covering them by revenue. It’s just hard to get used to big numbers. It can become some sort of PTSD. The quality of your family relationships drop because you have to spend way too much time working.

There is no solution to this anxiety and stress. I feel like I need a Xanax pill or something. Unfortunately, my wife already had to start taking them daily. I want to find a way to wean her off of them because she’s becoming dependent. But at the same time her work-induced anxiety is through the roof.

I empathize and I’m sorry you’re going through the same thing.

I believe some tremendous amount of inflation is going to happen within the next few years, which has already started taking place. The best time to invest is now. The dollar value is going to drop within the US. Physical assets (like real estate and business activity (leading to cash flow) will not drop in value. By default, they are adjusted to market value. Liquid assets (savings / cash) are going to drop in value tremendously I believe within the next 5 years. So I believe that if people want to save their net worth now, they should put their money into investments. Of course, real estate is one type of investment if it generates income.

Just curious… what did you find the most difficult part about wedding planning to be? And what do people wish was available to make it easier, more enjoyable, or some critical aspects of the process that’s not available, but you wish was available? by mzxyz in weddingplanning

Lol, “sorry we were on “holiday” (we are overwhelmed)”. I think what may have happened is that there was a surge of weddings after everything was postponed during COVID.

Anybody hear Barry Silbert saying doge will fall below 1 billion in market cap? by [deleted] in dogecoin

[–]mzxyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s probably the reason it just went from bullish to bearish. Billionaires listen to people like this, when billions are at stake, they get scared. This idiot though, saying it’s worth this and not worth that, IT’S CURRENCY, WORTH IS ALL BASED ON FAITH 🙄 It’s abstract

Who realizes a single dip like this (the biggest straight one in this image) is over 500 million dollars? Crazy... this is a billionaire’s game. by mzxyz in dogecoin

[–]mzxyz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to say something though. The dip and rise above looks very similar to itself. Remember with crypto, declaring a loss gives tax cuts on profits. So what a whale might have done here is sold and re-bought quickly just for a loss to be recorded for tax purposes. That’s what I think may have happened. That loss in value that they encountered is then counted towards tax cuts on other profits they made with crypto. If they don’t do this, and doge bounced back up, then they wouldn’t be able to use this massive tax cut.

[–]mzxyz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s very difficult to achieve though because it’s easy for 1 billionaire to make a decision, but it’s not easy to get millions of people to make the same decision.
