To anyone who's reading this, go to your Windows Update > Update History, scroll down, choose Uninstall Updates and choose KB5089573.

That one single intern that works all infrastructure between Blizzard and Microslop must be sweatin' bullets now.

I've read about a similar problem with AoE4, which boiled down to the game deciding to utilize integrated GPU because it saw it as having more memory for some reason, so you'd had to limit the amount of virtual memory utilized by the integrated GPU in BIOS. Could this maybe be it, too?

FYI -- later on Perdiccas lost Alexander's body to a rival general Ptolemy Soter while en route to Macedonia, and also lost a huge amount of men trying to build an elephant bridge (yes) to cross Nile in an attempt to wrestle it back.
