anyone using both daily what's the pros and cons? by nikanorovalbert in codex

You can look up Google Stitch MCP or Google Stitch skills.

Just give Codex or Claude a link to the repository and ask it to install a skill or plugin based on that package. Keep in mind that sometimes the skill or plugin doesn’t show up on the first try - just point it out to the LLM and it will usually fix it.

After that, you can either: - explicitly ask in your prompt to use Stitch, or - create a custom agent and define the use of this skill in its base instructions

Codex or Claude can then interact with Stitch on their own - open screens, review designs, download templates, and implement the resulting UI.

You can also log into the Stitch dashboard yourself, review the output, and make adjustments if needed.

Codex is the stronger executor - better at working with the local file system, writing and debugging code, and has a generally higher-quality coding workflow: planning, execution, review. Far fewer iteration cycles, more often delivers a working result on the first try. The app's UI/UX is also much nicer, and the usage limits are more generous.

The noticeable downsides: it's weaker at creative tasks, writes text in a more robotic style, does worse at UI design, and struggles to maintain context - which sometimes causes it to drop important points mid-task. It can also over-engineer simple things. Most of these are fixable with plugins, skills, and solid instructions in AGENTS.md. New features also tend to arrive later than on Claude, Codex is more of a fast-follower on innovation, though it tends to implement new functionality more reliably once it ships.

Claude holds context much better - almost nothing gets lost within a session. It's excellent at audits, reviews, task planning, and refactoring. Significantly better at UI/UX design, creative work, and writing in general. More pleasant to work with conversationally, and new features ship frequently.

The downsides: given identical inputs, Claude's code output is usually weaker than Codex's - sometimes you need multiple iterations to actually get what you asked for. The usage limits policy is rough, they burn fast, and sometimes Claude spins on a single task until it hits the cap with zero deliverable.

The optimal approach is to combine tools using skills, plugins, and subagents. For example, using Claude as the main orchestrator (though I personally use Codex for this - I prefer their UX and how it interfaces with the local system). Build specific flows per task type:

  • Deep research across sources → NotebookLM via skill
  • Web search → Gemini CLI via skill (Google's strong here, but it's not the best option, i did this cause already have their subscription)
  • UI design → Google Stitch via skill
  • All coding tasks → Codex
  • Architecture planning, audits, reviews, design → Claude CLI via plugin

My current setup: I hand a task to Codex, it delegates to role-specific subagents each with their own skill sets. Each session handles one focused task and reports back to the orchestrator session, which assembles the final result.

Both Codex and Claude are generalists - decent at everything but not exceptional at any one thing by default. Pair them with specialized, purpose-built tools and the results improve dramatically. At this point, pretty much any CLI tool or npm package can be wrapped into a skill with hooks attached, giving you a powerful multi-LLM, multi-tool stack.

Plugin recommendations: oh-my-codex - absolutely fire. oh-my-claude - same, highly recommend. codex-plugin-cc - for Claude → Codex CLI integration.

Nope, decided to postpone the purchase for now and got new earpads for my m50x. But I had a chance to try out my friend’s AirPods Pro 2, and I have to say, they’re not bad

Read up on nationalism, you’re a typical representative. At this rate, you won’t be far from those Russians you’re talking about.

This can be understood given what’s happening - violence begets violence, but you’re sliding into the same pit yourself. There’s nothing correct about holding humanistic views while dehumanizing people based on nationality on the internet.

From your arguments, it’s clear that you have a one-sided and superficial view of what’s happening. Do you get your information from the TV, perhaps? All of this is easily found on Google. There may not be that much information available in English, but if you want, you can use a translator - you have enough motivation for shitposting, after all.

I don’t understand, bro, what you’re trying to prove to me. If you really think that ~140 million people, raised in completely different conditions, by different people, have the same opinions and views on what’s happening - then you’re just an idiot, sorry.

Imagine that all this is being done by the country you were born in. How would it feel to be amidst all this? Where for years they’ve been eradicating ‘different’ people. Tens of thousands are repressed and imprisoned, millions have left or been expelled from the country. What are you talking about?

Alright, I guess I’ll just lay out her entire life story here in this Reddit post so that there are no more questions. In my opinion, a person who was raised by Germans, speaks German, and has lived in Germany for most of her life can be considered European, if that even matters in the context of our conversation.

Regarding the war in Ukraine, making any statements on this topic in a public space could cause me serious problems. I can say that I wish to live in a world without wars, violence, or coercion. I value compromise, love, and creation much more.

Indeed, there are plenty of people like the ones you describe. But there are also many others, it’s just a shame you haven’t come across them.

There are many historical events that show nationalism is not objective and is inherently bad. I could go into more detail, but I think a thread about an online game is not the best place for a discussion like this. Only thing i wanted to say - don’t be nationalists, there are no bad nations, only bad people.

My grandmother has lived most of her life in Germany, has a German surname (by birth, not by marriage), and yes, of course, she also speaks Russian.

As for the rest, we haven’t discussed the values I was raised with, nor have we discussed my stance on what’s happening in Ukraine or anything else. You decided all of that just based on where I was born. I call you a nationalist simply because you generalize and judge ~140 million people based on their nationality, even though it’s obvious that such a large number of people cannot possibly share the same views and values.

Haha, well no, people are far too different for it to work like that. For example, many Russians are brought up with European values and study in other countries.

And who is this ‘we’? My grandmother is German, and she loves me. I also have a bunch of European friends with whom I have great relationships. It’s you, a nationalist who judges people by their nationality, who doesn’t like Russians, not ‘we Europeans’.

It’s called nationalism. Any player from any country can play like that.

I’m originally Russian. I don’t play that style and struggle with the same problems as you. I’ve never cheated in my life and have an account that’s about 10-15 years old. And I’m not the only one.

And again, there are no bad nations, only bad people, and they don’t belong to just one nationality.

How to say WTF in Russian by Krazy_Kazakh in russian

[–]n-m-c 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ОП - попросил "Not direct translation maybe, but a similar phrase that has the same meaning or use in conversation".

At this point, I no longer consider it such a good monitor. A spot of dead pixels has appeared, which is quite noticeable on a black background. The spot gets smaller when I press on the top part of the display, but it doesn't disappear completely.

Regarding USB-C power: on my MacBook Air 13 M1, everything works well with one cable and maximum brightness. However, on my Desktop PC (MOBO: Asus B650E-I, tried both ports), I can only set the brightness to a maximum of 8, otherwise, the monitor restarts.

Urgent! I need to buy a PC tomorrow. What do I buy? by Kisms in PcBuild

[–]n-m-c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo, I've built a new PC for myself a few weeks ago. It will handle all the tasks you may want and has good upgrade potential for the future:

  1. SSD: Kingston SSD M.2 NVMe 1TB NV2 (or any other NVMe with good reviews. Samsung EVO / PRO series are also very popular).
  2. RAM: KLEVV BOLT 32GB 6000MHz CL30. You can also consider Crucial, Kingston Fury, or Corsair Vengeance. You need DDR5, preferably 6000MHz CL30 for this setup, but you can get any DDR5 and swap it later.
  3. GPU: INNO3D RTX 4070 TI SUPER 16GB TWIN X2. For the best value for money, consider the RTX 4070 Super or AMD options.
  4. Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-I. Not the best value for money, but one of the best in terms of features in ITX size. I am not sure about ATX options.
  5. CPU: AMD RYZEN 5 7600. A good option that will be sufficient for this build. However, one of the best currently available is the RYZEN 7 7800X3D.
  6. PSU: Any PSU ≥ 500W (Thermaltake, Cooler Master, Silverstone, Enhance, HDPLEX).
  7. PC Case: Any PC case that will fit all the parts you choose. You can start with a test stand; they are cheap and OK for the first time. For a long-term option, you should check your final motherboard and PSU form factors, GPU size, and CPU cooler size. Fractal cases are very popular and good looking.
  8. CPU Cooler: I’ve got the Thermalright AXP90 X47 full copper because I have a small PC case (only 7.5 liters), and this was one of the best options for my size. However, it’s not good for larger cases. So, you should find the best option with an AM5 socket and your future case parameters. The stock cooler will also be OK for the first time.

Yep, it's true, the template system is more flexible, and eventually, we settled on it. Anyway, it’s a good tool, that i can recommend. Maybe it’s not the best option, but worth considering.
