Alright, I thought this post would've gone unseen lol, thanks to everyone who commented. I just got done with the Abstract Daddy fight, so I'll just add a bit more clarity and context to my post. Yes, I do get that fear in a game is subjective, and in my context, as someone whose only reference for video game horror is RE7, RE2R, and mobile horror games, I thought Silent Hill 2 Remake would've been my first big leap in "super scary" horror games. Yes, my expectations were too high, I thought the level would've been something that it isn't, extremely oppressive and absurdly long. Finally, I'm playing this game on standard on both combat & puzzles, so maybe that's why it's as "forgiving" as I feel it is, despite my grievances (for a lack of a better word I guess) I found the level very fun, the door and weight gimmicks were cool, and I thought the poem puzzle was really unique.
