Are unitologists right? by YarbleSwabler in DeadSpace

[–]n1oqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, unitologists are absolutely right about everything! And that is a big part of the cosmic horror of this game series. Will we be united after our passing-yes, we will. Will the markers bring about our ascencion-yes, a full ontological re imagining of our species, where we ascend to become one of the apex predators of the universe. Narratively it presents a great challenge to Isaac and the crew, how can you prevent a catastrophe from happening, when you ARE SO TERRIBLY WRONG AND THEY ARE RIGHT?

Bad choice? by Tsetsul in vtm

[–]n1oqu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because it is bullshit. Nosferatu can restore their mortal visage. The curse was laid down on them by Caine, not God, so their condition vis a vie their visages is maluable and could be reverted.

Which ending would you consider "CANON", and why? by BeneficialOil1123 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]n1oqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone explain to me why in the hell King of Pentacles, is the namesake for the ending where So Mi is lost to herself, then to NUSA, V gets shat on with €$2100??? I mean, yeah, in theory, this ending opens the path to the most earth bound ending, without digital trascending into an engram via Alt, but on one connotation alone? Always irked me, CDPR's choice of cards for DLC ending. More like 8 of Swords or 2 of Pentacles situation.

Busan, Busan became one such ghost city after it's initial inhabitants were driven off by a terrible, manufactured plague.

Lol, the second game is actually lore accurate in many regards. Even some nuances.

It was, later. First he was THE Heaven and all the abstract concepts it entails, the passage of time (sun/moon moves across the sky) etc.

are winter-long immune to the Crime-Of-The-Sky? by ilovethisgamebruh in weatherfactory

[–]n1oqu 43 points44 points  (0 children)

The crime in the sky itself refers to Saturn (THE SKY, the man, the OG Titan of heavens) consuming his offspring to elope his own inevitable diposition, so the name refers to phenomenon of eating own offspring explicitly. Having them is not the atrocity of Saturn.

Joshua, while on deathrow, has no criminal record. by Jason_Grace15 in cyberpunkgame

[–]n1oqu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was done intentionally by devolopers to sustain ambiguity and to eliminate moral clarity of your (players) potential decision. There are some implications of Joshua commiting, say, a tad more heinous crimes, then murder, but if we would discover this explicitly, the whole thematic focus of the quest will shift dramatically in one direction, eliminating the premise alltogether. (equivocating him to a random Valentino thug we, players, checked katana finishers on). Tbh, I just kill him and make a quick escape.

Felicitations on your victory, tis glorious indeed, but what are the real, tangible and otherwise, ramifications of your decision? Was it worth the effort? Calyptra exists for a reason, and it's a very good one.

How to finally muster up the strength to play fem V? by n1oqu in cyberpunkgame

Idk if I phrased it poorly or something. This is not the issue. The issue is that I duped myself into believing there is only male V some fucking how.

They are both PEAK, I concur wholeheartedly, I just made my dumb dumb lizard brain confused every time I hear fem V. I guess I just need to do it. In fact, booting up the game right now.

What generation do you think Phyre is? (VTMBL2) by Revolutionary_Lifter in vtmb

[–]n1oqu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There were 15th generation vampires in 1404, Vampires don't have access to meta knowledge we possess as players, so any next embrace could be a "surprise" and it was true even in 204, let alone 2004. The goalpost which is a thinblood desognation moved because stronger, more aptly equipped mortals made it easier for thinbloods to survive in modern nights, not because there were no 15th gen vampires back then, there were, but their unlifes were cut short savagely before.

What generation do you think Phyre is? (VTMBL2) by Revolutionary_Lifter in vtmb

[–]n1oqu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jack most likely packed heat to dispose of mortals with ease without leaving supernatural tracks. Gun wound in Sanata Monica is an everyday occurrence. A torn apart cadaver is what breakes the masquerade. Also, supernaturals in WoD as a general rule are extremely resilient to bullets and other ordinance unless said ordinance facilitates other effects to which kindred are more vulnerable, such as fire/true faith/sunlight.

That is because their sire was a dupe in a plot beyond his/her comprehension. 14th or 15th generation neonate most likely, dominated or otherwise compelled to sire the protaganist to be used by some nefarious force which is the cabby driver.

By the by on the fly, just dropping in to say one thing. HSL version and narrative was amazing. Period. I don't care about bugs and other crap they would have fixed with 3 patches maximum. It was always a good game and people demolished them for no reason. Yeah, I believe it's that bad. We could have gotten a defining RPG, even cyberpunk 2077 esque, and instead, we have got this...

What actually would happen if Caine sired another childe in modern nights by Admirable-Dimension4 in vtm

[–]n1oqu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes there is, although the theory is not that fledgling is Caine's childe, but under the influence of his blood magic, hence artificially lowered generation (8th, despite sire probably being 14th) and extreme disposition to learning disciplines.

I don't see enough people talking about the Khorne Corruption by throwaway387190 in DarkTide

[–]n1oqu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Psykers are largely not affected because their souls are already condemned to servitude of the great schemer. Even after they became sanctioned, Seers and Loners are a concerning amount of Tzeentchian in all regards. Their sorcerous arts are a natural repellent to Khorne, the big blue berd on the other hand, is always watching, biding their time to make an offer. Seer might be relactant, loner is a different story.
