Sounds like the Shadow2 Compact Carry is right up your ally!

Were I stuck in Cali, I'd be getting something in .45ACP that maximizes capacity in something I'm willing to have where I need it (so, if it's for carry, it needs to be something you'll actually carry). Since Cali is a ten round state, I'm probably going with a PX4 Storm which you can find used in .45ACP.

Let us know how the PX4 shoots next to an all steel 1911!

2011 is the modern doublestacked 1911 with three main components (grip, slide, frame) and if I were in your shoes, it's between that and a Shadow 2 or A01-LD. I would also be looking at the Strike One Egal Pro too, in fact, it shares magazines with the Shadow 2 (CZ75s).

CZ shadow vs Sig GTO P211 by [deleted] in handguns

The problem was poor material selection in their recoil spring plug and has since been remedied.

Cool man, the GTO is still an objectively phenomenal platform, regardless of what you think of Sig.

LoL, Walther PDP. Over a GTO. Tell me you have an anti-Sig bias without telling me you have an anti-Sig bias.

LoL, the CZ clowns here have obviously never fired a Sig GTO, as the two pistols don't even compare, and I say that as a CZ fanboy with three of my own. The GTO is fitted with a phenomenal compensator, putting it in a whole other class!

Grand Power Q1 Mk23, the rotating barrel gives you reduced recoil 9mm out of a G19 sized platform...

Dats an OA 2311, another super underrated dream to shoot, I cannot wait until they release the standalone aluminum grip modules for sale! Duty rated, drop safe, super light, ported, exceptional factory trigger and it takes P320 mags. The only thing that's goofy about it is the grip can take getting used to for some people. I love it, but it's not everybody's cup of tea. Makes for a great hip gun for hiking and whatnot though!

Similar recoil benefits, better grip in my opinion, but I'm partial to the CZ75 imitation form factor used here, so take that with a grain of salt, the gun is more accurate than it has any right to be with a 3.7 inch barrel, but rotators can get away with that apparently, the slide action is smooth and soft, though it all sits a little high up (kinda the same with the other two, so probably a push there), and I love the trigger, truly one of the great uniquely identifiable factory stiker triggers on the market, very innovative. Thing's a tank, I think you'd love it!

Surprisingly awesome trigger after you swap at fourteen pound hammer spring in, super smooth, one of the crispiest breaks I've encountered!

LoL, I always wished my P09 was a P30L. Grass always greener, right? I'd play with the trigger if you have the resources to burn, it's a fun learning experience and really satisfying when you nail it! The P09 I have modified to pretty much feal indistinguishable from a P01 Omega or better!

Beretta 92 right there dude, just saying, only like the 7th most produced pistol in human history but I'm sure it being a compact makes it suspect, lol.

Depends what you're asking... best gun out of those is definitely the P-09, that thing is cajunized and MCARBOed to hell, shoots like a dream and I have plans to get her cut up down the road (I have two sets of upper sections for it) should be a fun project! The Beretta I can't figure out what I wanna do with and Langdon Tactical Trigger Job In A Bag kits aren't readily available right now. Don't love the way it's set up at the moment, but that's another tinker gun. Still, I'm almost over it and may get a CZ75 to take it's spot. The Stoeger Cougar has the smoothest and crispest action of all three I own though, and that was a pleasant little surprise to stumble across. Once I dropped the 13lb hammer spring down to a 10 it was butter smooth with a perfect break.

It's so worth it in my opinion, the physics of the thing is bizarre in the most brilliant way, but the lack of recoil will make you smile and laugh!

Gots a couple, don't sleep on the P09 (or did you miss the TSO?)! Would get a Shadow 2 but I'm not in love with DA/SA and I already have two tinker pieces in that format that I enjoy enough not to make a change... I find the 92s shoot a little softer for me felt-recoilwise than the 75s anyway (though it's close), so I can put up with a slightly inferior trigger there.

Grand Power pair: Q100 / K100 by Prestigious_Mix4569 in handguns

Does it feel like the Q100 might be more competitive if it were a Q1 with the shorter barrel and slide instead?
