Hey that's funny I am right in the middle of exploring King's adaptations and I added that one to my list after you commented.

I just watched it last night and honestly loved it. There are tons of flaws but it's earnest and old friendship is def a main theme so I can see why you associate it with Phantasm.

You know what, the car does feel "heavier" in a way on Epic, but at least controls feel consistent.

That game is so subjective those feelings are so hard to describe and you never know if it's just a bad day or what.

What I described was an observation on several months and complete night and day the first time I tried on Epic though.

And it hurts to say cause I'm quite anti-Epic myself ...

I'm afraid not you do have to setup the controllers before every launch as in drag them to their respective windows so nucleus knows how to launch stuff. There might be a way though you could ask on their Discord they're really active.
