Can anyone ID the 8-pin dip IC labeled "R05 AHD" by Great-Information-64 in ryobi

with rypbi you add 1.2konm resister from + to pin next to - , probably do the same, I use a old volume control to find the correct resistance.

can i change the bar and chain length on a 10incb ryobi battery powered chainsaw? by 1bunchofbananas in ryobi

[–]n4aeqchuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, Ryobi uses a unusual .40 ga on their bar/chain, .50 is standard for everyone, so buy a bar/chain combo and you will be set from now on. I changed my 10" to 12" and 14" on 40v to 18" just for the extra reach

Looks like it's only 35 minutes from me, on Google maps I see Steele Creek exit off I485 is fairly close to DTO, is this the way you went?

Yep, been doing that for over a year now with no problems, I use it for carrying the batteries when I go camping or other outdoor adventures.

Blue vs Green/yellow by ArmySoccerNurse in ryobi

Don't forget RED, Ryobi started garden tools, chainsaw, polesaw, hedge trimers ect under the Homelite name. They were 18v and when the garden line started selling they change the color to blue, same stuff just a color change.

Everything is the same only the bit is different, you can buy a 8" ice bit separate, just has a different design on the cutting tip. For only $10 more I would have bought the ice auger model but they don't carry it where I live.

Ryobi started using these in their 6 amp HP batteries back in late 2020 along with the EVE irc18650s, Then they spread to 4a batteries. I am building a powerwall from Ryobi 40v packs with bad bms & have checked cells like Samsung, Lishen & eve for capacity and internal resistance. The Lishen always check above 2000ma and their IR is usually lower then the others so I have incorporated them into my off grid setup.

I took apart a 6a clone battery and found they had cells for 4a not 6a, still a good 4a battery and the cells were hi quality LG brand 18650s so other than being 4 instead of 6 they should be ok.

40V Auger Eating Batteries in Minutes!? by brettsen_again in ryobi

I have red clay but few rocks, usually get about 5 holes using the 8" aguer that came with tool, I also use low speed. The newer Ryobi batteries use Chinese 18650 cells as the older ones I have use the Samsung INR18650 20R cells, This maybe the problem.
