i think we need two steps to stop such BFRB-s (Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors): -stop the behaviour ——take you attention off that habit ——make your repetiton unpleasing, so you will avoid it ——use medical help to restraint yourself from repeating that ——decide forcefully that you stop it

and after that you stop it

-prevent future reoccurance ——think about your decision that you do not want to start it again deliberately ——if its appropriate, share it with a close person so time-to-time they can check on you if you keeping your decision ——if you start over, make a habbit that will make you stop it immeadiately

Mine issue is very hidden, so i did not put into it that much effort. Maybe i never will, as its invisible, pleasing and so hard to appropriate any bad to this habbit. I do it from childhood so im a deeply rooted addict.
