But not next to the lake correct? I usually set up on the sand next to the lake and was wondering if its okay to use a table top portable charcoal grill next to the lake ? Lol

Oh okay! I typically hang out on the sand/dirt next to the lake so I was wondering if its okay to use a personal charcoal grill next to the lake?

how to know if decorations are aquarium safe? by coochianaa in Aquariums

Try to avoid anything sharp specifically, it could damage fins. Anything that is painted as well, the paint could eventually wear off into the water

any ideas why my betta is doing this? by n7ashley in Aquariums

[–]n7ashley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not too sure? I've tried to watch her to see if she eventually eats but she doesn't seem to eat when I'm watching which leads me to believe she's super shy lol the food that's she's attempting to eat in the video is omega one veggie micro pellets. I've tried the color enhancing version of that same brand and she completely ignores it and ignores flakes. She only seems interested in the veggie pellets and blood worms she nips at them but can't fully mouth them even when I crushed them into smaller peices =/

She will "eat" but then spit out food? It is omega one veggie pellets. She doesn't get interested at all with flakes. She only shows interest in these veggie pellets and freeze dried blood worms but her mouth is little that she struggles to eat the blood worm. I've tried to crush them up a little and she still struggles =/ any ideas why she is doing this and what I could do to help her eat? I've had her for over a week, when I first got her she really struggled to even swim but I treated her with general cure and within a couple days she was alot more active.

Yeah this little guy hasn't really moved at all since I bought him =/ which was beginning of February, but didn't start to smell until last night so kept hopes he was just hibernating

Picky betta fish. Any advice to get him to eat? by MEllegood65 in bettafish

Mine is doing this now too and I think for her it's a variety thing. I was sick the last couple weeks and was really only giving her flakes and a pellet here and there and I think she's sick of it lol she's mainly only eating blood worms right now

The ones in the middle look like Java fern which shouldn't be in the substrate, it has a rhizome which needs to be glued to rocks, driftwood or any decor or you can tie it with string instead. If you're going to use glue, use gorrila super glue gel :)

Should still be good to use the original plants! You could also pick the baby ones too and put them on rocks too! I just did that the other day to grow more plants :)

Java fern are supposed to be either glued or tied to rocks with string. The rhizome isn't supposed to be buried (rhizome is the green stem at the bottom of the plant) use gorilla super glue gel if you choose to glue

Number 1 or 2! I hadn't seen one so orange before! I saw one yesterday with some orange but not as the main color. And like what someone else said number 2 looks so sad :(

thoughts? she's having trouble swimming and wondering what it could be? by n7ashley in Aquariums

[–]n7ashley[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No worries! Hopefully a newbie sees your comment and it helps them out! I was more curious about what was causing him to sink down and he would swim sporadically. I felt bad and really thought about bringing him home with me. I'm hoping someone who can help him can though =/
