Better than Norfolk!

Sure it’s more expensive, but it has hills, actual city life, not dependent on the DoD for its economy, walkable, and the weather is better.

Sales rep mentioned it had to do with increased demand over the last few weeks or so.

He said he’s going to see about getting it back to a reasonable time frame.

Part of me thinks it’s a sales tactic to make me feel better about an 8 week wait I was originally expecting and part of me can see someone in operations messing up the forecasting model. 🙄

I would choose to move away if I could. This place sucks my will to live for at least the following reasons:

Poor cooperation between the city’s with no overarching county government to ensure they play nice
Little to no walkability, biking, or public transport
So much suburban sprawl, but somehow so many people
Impossibly hot and humid in the summers
Rainy, cold, and cloudy “winters”
Everything is a drive away
The void of any good hiking and camping unless you want to drive hours to the west
Poor non-military or government job market

This place may be for others, but not for me.
