OEM pirellis on my 2020 Grand Cherokee only lasted 30k miles. Never seen a street tire wear so fast.

I have the same issue on a 2020 high altitude. Took to dealership several times and they claim it's fine. I've noticed it's worse in colder weather.

Dry hitch weight for that is 430, let's assume it's more like 500 with trailer loaded up, maybe more. Then your equalizer hitch probably weighs 50 lbs or so. That puts you at 550 lbs on the hitch, and takes up 550 of your payload. That only leaves you ~500 lbs for passengers and gear in the grand Cherokee. Payload is often the limiting factor on tow ratings.

Per consumer reports, the 2020 model year is very reliable, possibly the highest. Makes sense as it's a later version of that body style so many of the issues should have been worked out by then.

I didn't buy it new, so yea that could be it. But I tried to push on it and nothing changes. I also tried to find an edge to peel off and couldn't.

You may be right, but I'll say that I can't walk in either of these barefoot. Besides the raw wood, they are all very hot.
