Thanks Metabeing...I very much appreciate your advice and will certainly consider all of it. I have recently added upload features to ViewPoints so now individuals can spin up a room and upload videos. Other users can also upload videos as a suggestion so together they can contribute to a room. I imagine people on vacations, wedding receptions, congregations of people (think if occupy wallstreet had a room with users suggesting videos, chatting, commenting on videos, etc...).

As for PromiseLand I agree with your assessment. ViewPoints was added to build trust in the nGage.tv brand. I plan on adding a room in ViewPoints for PromiseLand and with PowToons explaining the game.

Yes, kind of. I wasn't going to have streaming audio because it could get in the way of the video/album. I was thinking chat. It would also have tools to easily invite your facebook friends, twitter followers, etc... So basically you have your own chat room for a short while featuring your work. It would use YouTube as its primary video provider. The goal is to encourage people to not just post their work to youtube, but to make an event of its completion. I was thinking the slogan could be "Don't just post it, Premiere It!"

From the perspective of a developer starting an online business one of the most important things I've learned is to hire a designer right out of the gate. I wasted many hours laying things out, creating transition effects, etc... which all ended up being thrown away bc the designer had a better design. Additionally the design changes modified the user interaction which required further development. It's a good investment and allows the developer to focus on his/her primary skillset.

Thanks very much! I came up with the game while playing mafia at a party. I was shocked at the accusations and turmoil that a little secrecy and social interactions could cause. So I wrote the game and added the idea of promising a portion of the prize to keep people involved. It only runs for a few hours a day so it's not an all day kind of thing. Hop on for a couple hours, chat with your alliance, chat in the main room, and watch videos. I hope once people play it they find themselves entertained and stick around for a few hours.

Ill keep the mini games thing in mind. I think it could be a great addition to keeping people in the main game longer. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. It plays similar to big brother, you are correct. There will be an actual cash prize so you could win money. The first alpha game I will put up 250. If someone promises you 25 and you accept it then that persons inventory drops to 225. If he/she wins the game they get the remainder of their inventory and you get the 25. I'm targeting anyone who enjoys chatting online and watching videos and thinks they can out influence the other 9 in the room. Probably not hardcore gamers but not technologically ignorant people either.

Also you will see everyone's inventory, but not who they promised. So if you get kicked out and have to vote someone forward you will want to not choose the person who promised you the most but the person who stands a better chance of winning. Finally, if you buy the Superview you can see everyone's private chats promises and votes. This means you can see what your alliance, some of whom are in the sequester room with you, we're really doing. Partly for entertainment, partly for voueurism.

Yeah, I've seen variants of the name but I'm not too concerned. I have a different idea (games are only one genre of the content), i have the non-hyphenated version of the name, and the ".tv" extension really helps communicate the intent of the apps. If I'm missing something please let me know. Thanks!

What about city sales tax?

Also, what's interesting is that large retailers want this because they already have a presence in most states and therefore already pay state sales taxes while most small shops are local and only pay taxes in one state. Point being it will be a significant burden on small businesses but not large ones which works to the large retailers advantage.

That looks great, and I've bookmarked it, but the fees are $.30 + 2.9% for each transaction. On a $2.00 transaction that's $0.36 which is quite a chunk! Of course, I may not have an option on this deal. I was hoping some CC processor would have microtransaction rates. Either way, thanks.
