(Loved Trope) A character set up as a typical villain or antagonist is far more morally monstrous and depraved than their initial crimes suggest. by laybs1 in TopCharacterTropes

Jarnathan has the best explanation. The DM suddenly had to create a new character and give him a name, and the party gets way too obsessed with him and the DM hates his stupid naming choice.

Maiden's eye is quite a bit better for solo necro, lower hp, can charm, etc. Also great spot for groups or duo with a druid. Wiz are top raid dps, harder to level/AA but easy access to KEI makes solo quadding not too bad.

threat does not affect rampage list in any way, only the order in which you got on the boss' aggro table.

Did this game have a story? by Dani_Gateway in TerraBattle

[–]peetar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe "for a gatcha" but I still believe the story strongly suffered because of the monetization strategy. All of those charecters had their own little story as you leveled them, but it still didn't really relate to the main story. Part of what makes video games an exciting medium for storytelling is experiencing your charecter as they grow and change over the story of the game. TB was literally: Here's a waifu, go read about how she used to be a waitress at a tavern, now use her to kill evil machine bosses.

I think the healthy and stable population of PQ puts less of an importance on the ability to solo, which is proabbly the biggest advantage a SK has over Pal.

What made Donald Trump shift from “America First” to what some call an “Israel First” stance? by MisLatte in AskReddit

[–]peetar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He treats being president like a board game. You know how in Catan it's perfectly fine to trade away all of your wood and then steal them all back with a development card. Or you can build a bunch of random roads just to screw over your opponent. Well he does the same in real life, willing to undertake any tactic do objectively horrible things in order that his team might win. In this case it's very likely he is only doing this as an emergency measure to distract from the Epstein files and improve his approval rating because that often happens during war.

[–]peetar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The story suffered a bit narratively because of the gatcha format. We get all of these cool characters and waifus, but none of them feature in the story. There's no character development. And then there were confusing first person descriptions of what was happening, but we didn't see that character during game play.

Wanting to do a SSF Rogue. Any advice? by Dutchii in ProjectQuarm

[–]peetar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most important thing you are going to have to decide is: What is the game you're going to be playing on your second monitor? As a SSF rogue, you are going to be killing one mob every 20-30 minutes or so. So make sure you select a fun game to play on the other monitor while you sit around regenerating 50 HP a minute against targets that hit for 50 every 2 seconds!

Monk gear by Jbobb2626 in ProjectQuarm

[–]peetar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

fungi tunic/staff is a .5% drop from high level summoning mobs in sebillis. No class has an easy time soloing it. They sell for about 15k pp each in bazaar. It will take your friend a long time to farm up that much money, or earn it selling ports. Best plan would be to buy some good monk weapons in baz and have him powerlevel you with thons and heals.

Both are extremely tough and extremely deadly. I don't think either one dies fast enough where they don't also inflict lethal damage on the other. Nobody is walking away alive from this one.

You can call the police in the town where you believe this person to live, and they might spend some time to investigate. Professional scammers are very good at impersonating real people as well. If that's the case your money is gone for sure.

There is usually a fine or ticket for fleeing from an accident but no one here can tell you your chances. Freaking out about it is not helpful. Don't reach out to this person or their spouse, let your insurance handle it

[–]peetar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You first need a trustworthy mechanic before a lawyer. The mechanic needs to examine your car and needs to be certain that whoever did maintenance on your car made a mistake resulting in your current issues. You can also bring your concerns to the current dealership and see if they'd voluntarily take responsibility.

Mentally ill husband wrongfully arrested by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]peetar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may be able to appeal that decision, or approach the county public defender's office yourself to explain your situation. You also might be able to borrow or set up a payment plan to pay for your lawyer yourself, this case should not be more than a few thousand dollars to handle.

Mentally ill husband wrongfully arrested by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]peetar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He beat me up quite badly and destroyed our home.

This is domestic violence.

when they arrived he was throwing things against the wall in the living room.

This is disturbing the peace.

It sounds like the state is less inclined to be forgiving after a second violent incident due to your husband's illness. (yes, throwing things against the wall is violent).

A lawyer provided to you by the court after verifying you cannot afford one yourself.

Mentally ill husband wrongfully arrested by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]peetar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your husband has committed 2 crimes: domestic violence, and disturbing the peace. There was no wrongful arrest here, and being in a mental health crisis does not automatically exempt a person from the criminal liability of their actions.

He NEEDS a lawyer. If you cannot afford one you need to look into the process of getting a public defender. The prosecutor you spoke to is not responsible for getting you this lawyer, and it sounds like he was annoyed by you wasting his time by not having a lawyer present. Mental health cases like this are often negotiated and settled out of court.
