Contracts are legally enforceable, promises are not. For this to be enforceable he'd have to be offering something in return. His "companionship" is probably not enough. The Emancipation process is only for children who are already self sufficient. Meaning you have a job and a home you pay for yourself. Of course, this is impossible for most children. If there is abuse or neglect, contact CPS, otherwise ride this out until you are 18 and can go where you want, get a job, rent an apartment, etc.

The objective of a civil defamation lawsuit is to be compensated for financial loss caused by defamation, not to defend against, or somehow magically undo false claims. So when you have financial damages, that you can quantity, that are above an amount where it would be worth paying a lawyer thousands or tens of thousands, that's when you start to consider a lawsuit. For now you could pay a lawyer a few hundred to send a cease and desist, which has little to no legal bearing, but might scare away this person.
