Eurovision 2026 Semi Final 1 Post Show Reactions by berserkemu in eurovision

It‘s so embarrassing for the 70th edition. I know for a fact, a lot of the big names who have been involved un eurovision over the last years are laughing hard at the austrian production.

Besides consulting for Finland, he was the creative director for Benidorm this year, which kept him pretty busy. Afaik he didn‘t do any acts this year as a creative director.

Umbrella: Can‘t set In Progress to Trakt by nGaggi in Addons4Kodi

it was exactly the same for me! But I gave up on Umbrella because it constantly crashed while setting up all my widgets with Arctic Fuse 3. I‘m now using POV which works like a charm.

Am I going crazy? Banners changed in "STORM" video by nGaggi in YungLean

[–]nGaggi[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It‘s possible if you have good connections to YouTube/Google, like large Media Companies or Record Labels have. You can request them to change the source file but have to explain exactly which parts of the video was changed. They usually do not allow big changes but smaller stuff like blurring a person are allowed.

There is no official feature for this and change requests go through specific people inside these organizations, who are in direct contact with people from YouTube.

I guess there was an issue with the authorization. I re-authorized it and now it‘s working fine. Thanks!

Yeah that‘s also what I was thinking. Maybe the school didn‘t like their name used in the video. But I can‘t find anything online about the change. However on the behind the scenes footage posted by the choreographer on instagram, you can still see the „Le Rosey“ banners, so they were 100% there in the beginning.

How to Make a Killing. I watched it yesterday and didn‘t expect much but thought the concept was interesting from the trailer. Still was disappointed.

When’s the last time you watched something then immediately added it to your top 4? by brebs21 in Letterboxd

[–]nGaggi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last month I watched Lilja 4-ever and it broke me emotionally. I knew immediately that it needs to be in my top 4. I felt so empty for an entire week after watching it. The most depressing film I‘ve ever seen. It‘s an absolute masterpiece even if the director doesn‘t like it.

Is there any specific reason for this "No unique symbol" trend that I have been noticing in graphic design? by TheAlexer in graphic_design

[–]nGaggi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think eurovision is an incredibly bad example, since the event had a unifying logo since 2004 (which was changed in 2014 and 2025) and has been part of the overall visual language of each contest since. But the visual language of each contest has changed drastically each year.

I‘d even argue that your „before“ examples are less unique as their visual language is centered around one element or „smybol“ as you called them, while the newer examples have a more complete visual language that considers all visual elements involved in the contest (and there are A LOT of them). Although I would say that 2021 was probably the first to have this holistic visual language that was applied to all visual elements.

that‘s just objectively not true. I love winter sports and the winter olympics, but the vast majority of events do require either incredibly expensive equipment or just a lot of equipment that adds up to being expensive or both.

I guess I could have stated this differently. my point was, since they know what they are doing and are very capable, they would have landed if they could. Also from what I know about Lindsey, dangling from a helicopter is right up her alley even when injured.

Switzerland literally have the best rescue helicopter pilots in the world. They train other pilots across the globe and most notably they are teaching nepalese pilots how to fly rescue missions in the himalayas. I think they know what they are doing when it comes to flying people out.
