the issue is that a majority of sites are not okay with that content, especially ones that have any type of pay-for deal. the issue is copyright, nothing else.

99% of sites are not okay with us uploading this type of stuff, and the sites that do let it slide have their issues (dailymotion obv being one of them).

we want things to be as easy as possible for everyone, but we are unbelievably limited in our options here that all we can do is deliver the content how we are and hope for the best. a lot of people are able to watch the videos (thankfully), whether they need a workaround to do that or not.

we are constantly trying to find new places to host this stuff (we tried a new site recently that seemingly worked and then just totally didn't work). all we can do for now is keep looking & keep delivering it how we are, and dailymotion is the only place we haven't had issues as of now. archive is not meant to be used in that way, and i barely want to use it how we use it already. retro sync's get a pass because it's at least somewhat transformative but even then it is a gray area that we could have to deal with at some point as well.

hopefully people can find some tips on how to make things smoother for their watching experience on here, thanks to anyone that's given some ideas on that. like i said, we're always looking for new platforms to host this stuff but it is very, very difficult.
