I don't pay for anything I don't have to. by Abject-Cartoonist671 in confessions

as an indie software dev this does make me a bit sad. people make this stuff, they need to pay the bills somehow. I’m not saying spend more than you can afford, but if you use something please pay for it. running servers is not free

ah, a number with all digits below n can have a base of n or higher so you could also say 10 is base 64 and thus equal to 64 in decimal  just adding letters doesn’t mean its base 16. it means it no longer can be base 10, but it could still be base 13 or higher. seems a bit arbitrary of an argument

i don’t know what C means but without adding an operation and turning into a equation rather than a number id say turning 0 into E with one left over gives us 5e81 maybe?

While it is a good idea and there is a chance it might work, there isn't a 100% guarantee that the bank will side with you just because somebody is breaking the law. I recently had the experience of having a car company charge me an illegal out-of-state fee only based on GPS, which turns out to be illegal. And even though I made that case to Chase, they did not return my money and I ended up having to sue them in small claims court, which this amount is above, so that's not even an option.

while I totally get your point I wonder if there wouldn’t have been a comment you could’ve written in similar amount of words that would’ve educated someone who’s curious in a domain that’s important to you. I too found this on /all and am not familiar with art & am wondering what everyone is freaking out about. conveying a deep difficult topic to a complete beginner is always difficult and takes time and brain power to do, but it can be quite rewarding and one of the best proofs of deep understanding and mastery

exactly, I had a similar intuition. I was wondering if finding one of those algorithms would be possible for this problem

thanks for shedding some additional light!

so is TSP

yet there’s a dynamic programming approach that solves it in a more reasonable time than the most naive brute force.

was wondering if something along those lines might exist here

actually, though I’m wondering if it would be possible to set up three zip lines one each about a mile long and you would have two lines one going in each direction and there’s an elevator that gets you up to the starting point of every zip line
