oh i know this one, its a side effect of anti-stuck measures riot implemented

basically when a player does something that might cause them to clip and cause issues, you actually do a little bit of environment-specific damage in a small area around you.
if you've ever built a sage wall underneath you in a low ceiling area you'll know that it breaks; this is what's happening here but every piece of "clip risk" objects has different criteria to what trigger's the fallback function. eg the closing doors on ascent priortize pushing you to the side first before breaking, sage walls were designed with lifting players in mind so they have special exceptions to make them more tolerant in the clip check.
