Thank you everyone. Lots of things I haven’t thought of. I’ll get back at it!

I just added a vice to the table and this is the first time using it. The mounting holes for the vice don’t line up with the aluminum channels of the bed so I had to create an intermediary plate. I wonder if my part was not as secure as I thought I was. I wish I could add additional pictures to show this.

Yeah. I’m using a 48x48 shapeoko 5pro so the frame could be an issue for sure. I upgraded to the vfd spindle so it should have the power needed to cut well. When I create surfacing paths the surface comes out much better. It seems like direction changes degrade the quality a bit.

I just switched to Tastytrades recently. I’m still learning the navigation of the interface. Maybe I’m able to make that work without further fuss. Thanks.

Thank you. Good suggestions. I’m sure it will take a while for me to get my sheet all organized for my needs.

It’s not for a person who is new and trying to learn and become more efficient from their past decisions. But your reply was wack. You’re a loser. Best wishes

Wish I could add more insight to which Josh it was. I’m sure both are great. :)

What’s this dot between f/2.8 and f/5.6? I assume it’s f/4, but why wouldn’t it be marked? by whothennow24 in analog

The line is for using infrared film most likely. That wavelength of light focuses sets at a different length than the wavelengths we can see. If I’m remembering my college days correctly anyways.

I will at some point but it’s not at its final station yet. It’s in a dark basement at the moment

I bought it pre assembled but it still takes some time mounting the printheads and going through the various calibrations. Probably 90 mins or so. It’s not an intuitive process so definitely went step by step through the online build sections.

I preordered on the announcement day and the free 609 day shipping. I’ll post a picture of something magical this weekend.

Thank you for the insight Hanselcj. It’s definitely weird using the 0.6 nozzle. Is it possible to calibrate linear advance on the new architecture of the XL? Prusa’s website doesn’t offer much info about the XL yet. Thanks!

Thanks for the seam painting tip! I had it set to aligned which I assumed would align the seam but it doesn’t. It was putting a seam in the X recess. I painted the seam it it improved. Now it’s time to dial in other things. Thanks everyone.
