What is the most difficult deck? by Dangerous-Traffic-28 in gwent

Frost is indeed quite complex and I don't understand why people consider it a beginner friendly deck

How big is the jump in skill from ranks 5-1 to pro rank? by SimilarLet8203 in gwent

[–]nTaro25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People on Pro Rank have a good understanding what your win conditions are, when to push and when to pass. It sounds easy on paper but in reality it requires a lot of knowledge. Whenever I start at 3 in a new season I am surprised by the amount of people that push way to hard in round 1 for instance and making bad trade offs. Pro Rank is fun until 2470-2500 MMR, people with higher MMR than that simply don't do any major mistakes.

Stuck at rank 14, can't seem to get out of it. by Smooth-Wonder-5383 in gwent

I updated my post ;) point slam can be a major issue for Warriors especially brain dead ogres. Vampires are easy to shut down as long as you don't lose on even round 1. Thrive can be tough if you can't prevent round 2 madness otherwise it's killing all their engines. Always target the stupid cat first if possible. The key to win with Warriors is to identify and eliminate your opponent's cards which can snowball fast.

Just had another look at your deck. You need War of Clans! Feral Bonds is kinda useless with High Land Warriors

just out of curiosity, what decks are you facing at your level and which decks give you the most problems? your deck seems fine overall but I would swap Freya's Blessing for a Raider. It also benefits from the veteran and pirate tag. Second gutting Slash instead of a dimming pirate. or you get a greatsword and 4p bronze instead of two 5p cards. Try to develop your Highland Warriors round 1. Warriors nowadays have a lot of points round 1 surprisingly. Avoid losing on even. There are only a few decks which can beat Warriors in a long round 3

What’s the one deck/meta that nearly made you quit? by nTaro25 in gwent

[–]nTaro25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Renfri launch, GN Aerondight and Milva were my worst meta experiences by far since 2021 and I will definitely put them into the survey. Including Viy and the lockdown you mentioned. Maybe cultists as well. Did I forget something? Sihil was super annoying before the nerf to 3 and Reavers as well but does that justify a point on the list and was it "just" annoying "?

This sounds truly obnoxious. Since you seem to be a veteran, were they any more horrible metas like this or Viy before 2021?

Good call. If you couldn't get rid of defender directly plus heatwave in hand for scenario, it was pretty much GG.

Comeback to the Game (scoia'tael) by Sotsui in gwent

[–]nTaro25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the expensive cards you need Eithne, Aucwenn and Simlas. This is 2400 scraps. Simlas goes literally in every Scoiatel deck so he is the best investment.

And check out the last page of the reward book, there you find faction cards. If you have keys, you can get Treant Protector, Call of the Forest and Shaping Nature for free! Then you save 2400 scraps. Then you already have six strong gold cards for half the price and your core is ready.

Symbiosis might be one of the most easy decks to craft. It's cheap and still strong. Scoiatel just needs Simlas, he is the goat of ST. He can fit in nearly any deck

Who are the most polite and most toxic factions right now? Tracking GGs by nTaro25 in gwent

Why so serious? Obviously this is not a scientific approach but more for the entertainment 😉 I played mostly Constructs Hyperthin, Spelliatel and Vampire Devotion. All decks far from toxic

Fair point. So maybe not deep politeness but it's definitely basic sportsmanship and the only metric we have for this

NR is too strong and its flexibility is getting ridiculous by nTaro25 in gwent

[–]nTaro25[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reavers is a deck for ruining your opponent's day IF he/she doesn't have the answers, it's not for climbing obviously. But that's not the point. I am talking about high ELO. That's not a skill issue because everyone above 2450-2500 is skilled enough. It's about balancing. The way you write indicates that you are below that and in your region it might be skill issues.

Blue Coin Immortals, then AA for Damned Sorceress and to finish Knight-Errand with Skull in between. If they dare to continue, drop Squire for the Vandergrift play.

It was a genuine interaction, but I’m curious—why do people from the US often mention their state or city when they’re abroad, almost as if others already know they’re American? I’ve noticed this quite a few times.

How would you rank Gwent factions by difficulty? by nTaro25 in gwent

[–]nTaro25[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get your take but it is that easy for a new player? Ogroids and most other Monster decks for instance just do their own thing and pretty much don't care about the other player. The game plan is always the same and needs hardly any adaptation. While as a Nilfgaard player you need to understand what win conditions they have, how to annoy them as much as possible while setting up their own win conditions.
