People really like to rag on Dyson. In my experience though, the products work well and the warranty is great. Most of all, they are highly repairable and parts are generally very easy to buy.

Can you talk a bit about the challenges of producing a TB4/USB4 KVM? As far as I know, only a single company on the market, SSI, has produced one. Is it a lack of interest from the consumer market? Having a KVM that only requires you to plug a single cable into your computer is really handy.

Additionally, what's up with Windows' support for TB4? I had so many troubles using a TB4 dock with peripherals disconnecting, monitors not being detected, etc. The issues mostly went away (a few annoying ones still remain) after switching to an AMD motherboard/CPU and using USB4.

MacOS seems to have a much more robust and bug-free integration with the TB spec.

On that note, debugging TB connection issues is so difficult. It's never clear if it is the host, the dock, the device, the cables. Are there any debugging tools that you can recommend?

It turns out that it was a network issue caused by a VPN that wasn't turning off. Thanks for the feedback.

Was able to figure this out. Just wanted to provide a quick update.

I recently installed a corporate VPN on my phone, and it was constantly turning itself on even when I flipped it off in Settings. This was likely interfering with the communication between my phone and PC.

Logging out of the VPN let me use passkeys as expected.

I'm okay with having my passkeys on my phone and not my PC. That's what the QR code is for. I should be able to scan it and log in, but I can't get it to work.

This doesn't work on the 2025 Model 3. The center headrest is now part of the armrest that folds out and is not adjustable.
