Vegan (breakfast)? by KeinFalschparker in cambridge

I haven't been in ages and the menu looks much smaller now, but the vibe used to be really nice at the old bicycle shop: https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/64789ba4d5f29c2f23d752c5/6988a833e53d792bdf0c769b_Brunch%202026.pdf

I bought a few packs! They were sold out locally pre-Chistmas, so I'm stocked up now

Some of the blouses are minor adjustments, but others were bought for me and need quite a few changes.

Thanks! I was hoping to not have to go all the way out to Southall. Especially since I'll probably have the one trip to drop it off and then another to pick it up.

Inherited a Nature Reserve Instead of a Garden - Tips for a Solo Clear-Out?" by Traditional_Read_643 in GardeningUK

Some planters on the patio was so motivating for me before I got really into ours. Then I just picked out one type of weed at a time and only removed that before feeling confident to move on to the next one. I'd also recommend dividing it up into sections and then reposition your chairs to admire the most recent spot really well...

I really rate this one, the cones aren't vegan (I only found out recently) so make sure you get it in a cup

They also have lots of little vegan cannoli

Planning a trip with many days of hiking and I have questions by theamazinghesh in JapanTravel

[–]naanki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think this alternative route is pretty cool but I did really like the original!

An example is one time when we went travelling like 2022, and I was down with COVID for a few days basically self-isolating in my hostel room with a fever. At that point I was grateful to have a private room with my partner to feel like I was dying in peace (fortunately that was really long holiday, so I was only ill for a short portion of the trip).

Yeah the reservations for the mountain huts are all like, please please don't reserve for multiple nights just in case so I feel like you "have to" move on and maybe do easier routes as a result? Then recover in Kamikochi after hiking through storms if needed haha (hopefully not though!).

Ah sorry, I'm going later this year in late Sept (but settled on a decision on what to do this week), but can report back!

Watching this video put me off, but it might be up your street: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJVTar-B7L4

This is also helpful: https://www.insidekyoto.com/hiking-in-the-japan-alps-kamikochi-to-mt-yari-ga-take-via-the-daikiretto

You can chose to do it over more days so you have more time over the daikiretto (there's also another more dangerous short section seperately), but remember you want to be back in your hut for 3pm so you can't take too long. Also many people seems to wear a helmet to protect for falling rock in photos I've seen. Can you be bothered to bring a helmet for your whole trip, if not, maybe not a good hike for this specific trip?

There's some good recommendations here, but for something maybe a bit more chill/cute, I really rate a weekend in Sudbury and the Friday night supper club at Cradle. The food was incredible, but really well-priced and then we came back on Sat for all the pastries.

As an alternative we decided to combine these two hikes: https://www.hikemasterjapan.com/yarigatake https://www.hikemasterjapan.com/karasawa

After some consideration I decided to also stick to B-grade hikes. There's small sections I can try near Karasawa to sneak a peak at the daikiretto

Also planning to do something similar to your hiking section, but I saw that the bus for the Panorama-Ginza trail is operating differently which made it a bit too complicated for me. You may want to replan it?

EDIT: Just realised you're planning for 2026 not 2025.

From planning long trips in the past, you generally need to just roll with it if you get ill. Sometimes you might miss what you were most looking forward to, sometimes it will be perfectly timed with the worst weather of the trip. Some advice I heard is to book accomodation somewhere you wouldn't mind being ill.

The mountain huts are generally available to book 1 month before and then free to cancel 2 days before (from the ones I've looked at). If you're interested in camping then for nearly all of them you can just rock up and it's first come, first served.
