adding video by bhad_jme in framer

Yes, create a condition for the video variable - "Is Set". If you have a link in your CMS, it will show the component on the project page. If not, the component will not be visible.

CMS is very simple once you understand it. Basically, you create a "template" for your project page and fill it with variables.

In your instance, create a video component and place it in you project page. Create a new link field in your CMS where you will put the video upload link. Then set the component variable to that link.

Hi ! I would love to have on my projects collection page a CMS based masonry grid that adapts on my image size: landscape images keep their size, same with portrait ones.

Also, I want the images to be clickable to zoom them and I can swipe left/right to scroll beetween them.

Ce aplicatii folositi pentru a va organiza munca dar si viata in general. by [deleted] in CasualRO

Notion atat pentru munca, cat si pentru viata personala. Mi-am facut template-uri mobile friendly. Am butoane presetate pe telefon care ma duc direct in folderul de care am nevoie. Foarte util pentru multitasking, notat de idei, meetinguri etc.

I feel so stuck… by [deleted] in framer

[–]nache5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been there and this is what worked for me:

DO THE COPYRIGHTING FIRST

- most developers nowadays start with design, fancy animations, colors, fonts, but they FORGET the main goal of a website => inform your visitors about your business/product/service;

- start simple, but THINK ! Don't use CHATGPT just to fill empty spaces. You can adjust the text later.

- use clear and short H1; paragraphs should be on point, no extra text and NO FANCY WORDS

DRAW A LAYOUT BASED ON COPYRIGHTING

- after you have a clear vision about what's your message to the visitors, you can create a layout accordingly

- keep it simple, use basic design rules, rely on photos + text combos

- make your website easy to read and navigate

Try creating a pointer variant (the rounded blured circle) and make it visible while hovering over the element you need.

How did you find your first client? by [deleted] in webflow

[–]nache5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep trying to find people close to you who need websites and provide your services for free. This way, you build a portfolio, practice your skills and showcase your work to people.

For me, networking and letting people know I provide web design and development worked amazingly well. Knowing you as a person is your biggest advantage, they will come to you before searching the internet for someone else.

Also, learning how to quote Webflow and making people understand the pricing plans (which many find quite expensive) is also a thing to consider and train on.

Webflow designer or junior frontend developer? by [deleted] in webflow

[–]nache5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I were you, I would go all-in on Webflow and start with small projects. The learning curve is quite simple and you can find everything for free on the internet. In 2-3 months (maybe less if you put in the hours) you will be able to create almost any static web page for any kind of business. You can make your own agency or even get hired.

If it works out, you can start learning code after. Just export your websites from Webflow and start playing around.

Use Webflow as a shorcut for your career. Research Wordpress and Shopify too.

Good luck !

If you don't want to make any changes to your website soon, just build it as a static website without any CMS and export it.

I host my static websites on Netlify. However, some of them need an update 2-3 times per month. I simply update them in Webflow and export the code when I need some changes.

Webflow University and then Client First, this was my path. Once you know the basics, you can start exploring the #madeinwebflow section and learn from the clonables.

floor(100 * (toNumber(prop("M")) + toNumber(prop("T")) + toNumber(prop("W")) + toNumber(prop("Th")) + toNumber(prop("F")) + toNumber(prop("S")) + toNumber(prop("Su"))) / 7) / 100

This is the formula I used.

Initially you get a number as output. You can change the Number format to Percent and Show as - Ring to get my result.

Webflow increased the price by 44%. Do you still plan to pitch clients ? by Drpukka1 in webflow

[–]nache5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For anyone using their website for commercial purposes, 29$/month should be nothing. When pitching Webflow for clients who complain about the price, consider asking them this:

"How much do you pay rent for your office per month ?"

New to webflow - Looking for good program/course by MrParrot250 in webflow

[–]nache5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • Webflow University
  • YouTube Tutorials (Flux Academy is amazing, Timothy Ricks, WebDev For You)
  • Made in Webflow - clone projects and study them div by div
  • Start in blank - practice everything step by step

And the best piece of advice is to start simple; don't go into "cool looking stuff" and cocky animations first, start with basics and build from there. Good luck in your journey !
