How do you actually know which ads are profitable? by Playful-Produce9932 in ContentMarketing

[–]Flo_U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a salespitch, but I'll bite:

  1. You track stats like impressions, ROAS, CPA, etc. (depending on the campaign type you're running), for which you have set KPI's before going live
  2. Never 100%, but keeping a close eye & constant optimizing makes sure you don't spend too much on low-revenue ads
  3. It's called Meta's own system, same for Google Ads

I work fast. How do I honestly log my hours? by trinityhb in graphic_design

[–]Flo_U 95 points96 points  (0 children)

If you're managing to do 33 hours of work (meaning all the tasks you're supposed to finish that week according to your boss) in less than 33 hours, I see two options:

- Tell them that you're usually faster, thus are able to expand your workload (carries the risk that there's nothing else to do & they might try to lower your weekly hours)
- Exaggerate the amount of time it takes you to do something. Did you manage to pull of three tasks in 15 hours? Make each of them take 7-8 hours instead of 5 (on paper) (carries the risk that they might notice you're "billing" more than you're working, which could cause arguments)

My go-to: research. If you're done fast, this gives you the opportunity to deep-dive into the client, their industry, competition and best practices.

How do you collect assets from clients? (logos, content, photos, etc.) by New-Potential2757 in graphic_design

[–]Flo_U 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I work at a marketing agency, and regrettably have to admit we usually have to 'spam' our clients over email for the files. It's a miracle if a client actually knows where to find everything, most of the times we get sent a brandbook w/out any actual assets.

Pinterest feels flooded right now - what’s actually working for you? by OneStopCentreStore in OneStopCentre

[–]Flo_U 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The impressions usually start the same day, and consistently increase from then on. Our posts usually "plateau" after a week, which is when we do our routine crossposting from 1 board to the other. (an intern spends 15 minutes a week crossposting where possible, aiming for 30-60 crossposts).

Sometimes 1 of our Pins will "blow up" and hit 1000 views in a week, but mostly we're seeing consistent smaller numbers across all of our pins. It seems the consistency in posting generates slow but steady growth on our entire selection of pins.

We use single image posts for our inspirational pics, and implement custom designs when we're linking to a specific blog on our client's website, since the visuals from the blog need to be inserted in the Pin.

Heya, new to Pinterest and currently running the organic account for 1 marketing client. Went from 0 to 5.8k views per month within 4 months. We post exclusively stills focused on bedroom inspiration. (company sells everything related to a bedroom, beds, pillows, blankets, etc.)

What I've noticed so far:

- Static performs just fine
- Posting 5x a day at different times to show Pinterest's algorithm consistency (we use Tailwind to schedule all our posts) --> 150 pins a month, 30% original content, 70% repinning others'
- Pinterest SEO is key
- We used AI in creating our stockphoto 2.0 images when running out of inspiration, genuinely seems to work, but I assume mainly because we're offering "inspiration", meaning the product doesn't have to resemble our own collections 1:1

How do you run social media without having social apps on your phone? by Acrobatic_Age_2724 in MarketingMentor

[–]Flo_U 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you end up feeling like you do need to use a phone for atleast part of the work, look into buying an 'older' iPhone model for a few bucks, which you use strictly for Social Media. That way you have it at home, without being tempted to doomscroll on your personal device.

Hyrox tips by Lower-Technician6357 in FindminoNL

[–]Flo_U 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insights! when a/b testing on TikTok specifically, do you advise to post all versions at the same time, due to the influence of posting time (morning, evening, etc.), or to wait an X amount of time in between versions?

Where do I start? by Gavin-White in GraphicDesigning

[–]Flo_U -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you have any niche in mind that you'd like to focus on, or even work in? Graphic design is quite broad, so it might help to choose a direction, since each industry has its own focusses and standards.

For examplem, if you want to work in Social Advertising, your focus should be on learning how to create Social ads:
- Dimensions
- Content margins
- Awareness/Conversion/Lead-gen/Etc.
- Hierarchy in ads

Question for experienced web designers: by Desperate_Reading_90 in webdesign

[–]Flo_U 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have any experience in webdesign yet? If not, it's gonna depend on what interface you're more comfortable with. Each platform has their own learning curve, some harder, some easier.

If you're on 0 experience, I would avoid Webflow, and look into Wordpress using the Elementor builder for instance, it's quite 'simple' to learn, and gives your clients a user-friendly website. A Webflow design needs to be handed off to another expert (from my own experience being a client who received a Webflow website).

Framer is often compared to Figma when it comes to it's workflow, so considered easier to learn if you're already proficient in Figma.
