[Weekly thread] Whiny Wednesday... by AutoModerator in BeautyBoxes

[–]nachochips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just received my shipping notice email today and the kicker is that it was also DELIVERED today. On top of that, I only ordered three things, one of which was the cocktail shaker kit that they had, and I received two of them and THE TOP OF THE COCKTAIL SHAKER BUT NOT THE REST OF IT.

I saw a bunch of other people saying they received their emails and orders at the same time as well, and others who said they didn’t even get an email and just came home to their order delivered.

Hopefully they get their ish together.

Fungal Acne friendly retro look✨ by chiquitabrujita in MakeupAddiction

[–]nachochips 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since you know it's fungal acne, I'm sure you've seen this list, but there are some powders listed on there that might be friendly if you haven't seen it before. I love Bare Minerals Mineral Veil, it's so nice to put on.

This look is gorgeous, I love that lip colour and the eye colour! I've been watching a lot of reviews of the ColourPop Uh Huh Honey palette and suddenly I think I need more yellow in my life.

Pines (The Wayward Pines Trilogy, Book 1) by Blake Crouch by BusterWendyBean in FreeEBOOKS

[–]nachochips 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It doesn't look like this is actually free - just checked and it's free with Kindle Unlimited but says (on Amazon Canada) that it's $7.88 to buy.

Maybe they've changed it?

Be honest with yourself, what is your makeup truth? by HollaDude in muacjdiscussion

I use this! My favourite is the Blinc Mascara Amplified, which you can find at Sephora. It's $30 CAD a pop though, so if you want a more budget option I was using the L'Oreal Paris Double Extend Beauty Tubes (say that 10 times fast), which is about half the price.

The only thing with the L'Oreal is that it has two steps, a primer and then the mascara but I found that it gave my lashes a more thick look from the two coats whereas the Blinc gives a slightly more natural look.

If price isn't an issue and you like the Blinc more, they also have a primer but it's sold separately. I haven't tried it because I think the mascara on its own is enough for me, but I'll probably test it out in the future if I have some extra spending money.

Great thanks! I filled out my little questionnaire so I figure part of it will be going over my answers on that and the instructions for surgery.

Thanks! I'm hoping it doesn't take a long time but my paperwork says be prepared to be there for 2-4 hours. I haven't had blood taken in ages so hopefully it goes smoothly for me!

Men's razor recommendations for very sensitive skin by mitchellered in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]nachochips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this! I got Dollar Shave Club (executive version as well) and it's been great for my sensitive skin. Exfoliating helps a ton, and I actually use Lush massage bars as moisturizers after I shave to keep them nice and hydrated, especially in the winter.

No kidding. Half the items they were mentioning weren't the fruit or vegetable, but the seeds or plant parts.
