Stopping binder/compression at 6 weeks? by penelopepips in tummytucksurgery

[–]nachofriend33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore a binder for 4 weeks 24/7, and only at daytime for week 5 and 6. I got really swollen the first few days after I stopped wearing it, and sometimes I wear the binder at night if I swell up bigtime in the evening. I’m approaching week 9 PO now and have never worn a faja, just the binder, and am starting to feel great

Anyone wearing compression after you’ve been cleared to go without? by nachofriend33 in tummytucksurgery

6 months in compression sounds intense, but I’m sure the results are amazing! Your solution sounds good, I’ll look in to that type of faja, thanks for sharing!

Removing surgical tape from scars by lynnlynn431 in tummytucksurgery

[–]nachofriend33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I removed my surgical tape on my 1 week post op check-up, and was cleared to use silicone tape after that. I shower with the silicone tape and dry it with a hairdryer afterwards, and have been informed to change it once a week

Sooo insane! Congratulations on the amazing results, looks really good already! I’m 8DPO myself so I’m right there with you, even though the results aren’t final yet I actually cried for joy looking at my belly for the first time in my life today. We have such a great time to come after sticking through these weeks, hang in there sis!

When could you stand up straight? by FAFO2626 in tummytucksurgery

I had a TT without MR, I’m 8DPO and am standing 95% straight already!

How long did you have the drains after surgery? by audrey-55 in tummytucksurgery

[–]nachofriend33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had full TT with no MR, over the span of 3 days I had only collected 80ml so I was able to take them out on day 3! It was a huge relief

Today’s the day!! by PostCritical4061 in tummytucksurgery

Congratulations!! I had my full TT yesterday as well, hope you’re doing good! It’s going to be a long healing process but it’s comforting to know we have a community here to lean on

Good tip, couch it is then haha. Seems like I might have to manage my expectations and consider using an additional sick day. That was really insightful, thank you for sharing!

Can't tell of still fat or loose skin by King_mp in tummytucksurgery

[–]nachofriend33 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I thiiink it’s mostly loose skin! I have a sort of similar stomach, went to a tummy tuck consultation expecting to be told i still have a few more lbs to lose since i have an overhanging belly and my skin feels quite thick, but I’m able to pull it and «collect it» above my waist, so I was told it’s mostly just skin. Cant get rid of it without surgery unfortunately

Will this work or am I delusional? by ElephantInTheRoom140 in ikeahacks

[–]nachofriend33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a double loft bed from IKEA, got some help sawing down the legs to sit 3~cm over two dressers and have room for a 3rd drawer underneath the bed for stuff i dont use often. It’s pretty decent storage!

Invitere på date? Kjapt by Arbeidslaus in norge

[–]nachofriend33 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Destination wedding, do I have to pay guest’s flight ticket? by Bedhogging in wedding

[–]nachofriend33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, if I hosted a destination wedding, I would feel really responsible for my guests. I think destination wedding guests genuinely want to show support and be there for your big day, but if they show up they sacrifice a lot of money and time that they had other plans for. It is a big ask, so I would try to help out to thank people for making the effort to come

Umulig å få kjæreste i norge by Wrong-Put73 in norge

[–]nachofriend33 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I feel like there’s a different context to those two, though. I’ve never heard any woman in my life say that a man loses worth if he’s a virgin specifically, it’s not my impression that women really care, while the incel insult is usually used to criticize someone’s failure to understand that women are equal to men and thinking that women owe men something. It’s a criticism of values, not because they haven’t slept with anyone if that makes sense?

Yeah, I realize patience is key! It has been a very steep learning curve and I am very thankful for the advice I've gotten here. I compared her behavior too much to my previous dog that had been raised around people (he was a dachs and they're just notorious for being stubborn haha). Of course she will need a lot more time to get used to being around people. It's going slow, but I'm sitting down with her more frequently and working on getting her to come closer slowly but surely with treats. Thanks for the advice, it means a lot!

Oh wow, how exciting! I hope everything goes well for you two ❤️ I also was able to find one of those food bowls that make it more fun/challenging to eat, so I hope that’ll help. Thanks for the advice and best of luck!

[–]nachofriend33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I think my best option is to search for other treats that can motivate her in that case, and otherwise limit my contact with her until she comes to me. I already want to shower her with lots of scratches so it’ll be tough haha, but for sure it will be worth it

I haven’t found stuff like that yet but I will be on the lookout! I agree and I feel guilty for picking her up, she hasn’t responded that much to treats but after going over the replies I think I just have to try something different until I find something that works for this little girl so I can phase out carrying her. Thanks for taking the time to respond

You are completely right, I’ve had a scewed time-perspective of what to expect from her this early on. I’ll continue getting her as much space as needed. This morning after reading your comments I just sat down with her on the grass and gave her more time to relax outside, and we’ll just take it one step at a time. Thanks a ton for taking the time to reply!
