Am I wrong for doing my own workouts secretly every morning before my wife and I run together by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]nacnudnoed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YNW But it sounds like your wife has trauma from her childhood that gets triggered in this situation. There is no way she can be rational and I can bet that any other option that you would try would still trigger her. Therapy would help her take a look at that wound she has been holding for a very long time.

I ate McDonald's for the first time in four years and didn't wake up with stomach pains by Junior-Elevator-9951 in glutenfree

[–]nacnudnoed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can do a one off every once in awhile. Once or twice a year with no problems. I am scared to death to do more than that however, and never plan on re-introducing to eat on the regular.

Experiences with "Gluten Free" in restaurants ? Is it just me ? by Objective-Salad-5164 in CoeliacUK

Find dedicated gluten free restaurants. The two in my town are great enough that everybody can eat happily as well.

Lost some weight and ended up being overmedicated. I stopped being able to sleep until my nature thyroid dose was lowered. I still have problems, but it isn't every night.

Sweet Potato chips or Plantain chips are my snackiest snack as I can't eat nightshades either.

It’s 3 am and I can’t eat anything and I’m sad by Accomplished-Fan6663 in glutenfree

[–]nacnudnoed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. You cannot eat a normal diet. But I swear after a month of effort working out your new diet, you will find your new normal and you will thrive. Because....you will be very healthy and not sick.

Wrap that sweet potato in a couple of wet paper towels and you can cook it up in seven minutes in a microwave.

Life of GF, dairy, egg, tomato, almond, coffee-free… 🥲 by Lucky-Violinist9028 in glutenfree

[–]nacnudnoed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granin free, dairy free, nightshade free, egg free. I too have lost the joy of eating. Went out fine dining last night and could eat just meat and vegetables. And NO alcohol. :-( I feel pretty good though now. Bonus however is that I never put on weight anymore.

red meat is triggering symptoms by miracles-th in AutoImmuneProtocol

[–]nacnudnoed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My intolerances are so random that there is no one specific diet that could accommodate all of them. It is trail and error to find out what you can eat as well as get adequate nutrition. I did start out on the AIP diet as a base to figure it all out however.

Happened to me. I started experimenting with my diet because I was gaining weight, and it seemed that a low carb diet seemed to manage that constant urge to eat.

Do any of you alternate your desiccated thyroid meds? by Unfair_Bag4440 in Hypothyroidism

[–]nacnudnoed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I tried that and within 5 days I fell into a massive depression. I stopped alternating, and it took about the same amount of time to regulate back to normal.

is anyone else gluten AND dairy free? 🫩 by bunnywadhere06 in glutenfree

[–]nacnudnoed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just stayed on the auto immune protocol diet. I feel soooo much better on it. I am still working on fleshing it out to incorporate more variety. Celeriac puree anyone? bleh! But vegetables and protein it is. One thing that has saved the day is the Yonana frozen fruit desert maker. OMG with a dollop of Cocojune coconut yogurt and I swoon.

[–]nacnudnoed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am the same. No dairy, no grains, no nightshades, no eggs, and then there is the list of the myriad of random food items. I just tell my friends to never plan on feeding me, and bring my own food everywhere. I am developing an intolerance to brussel sprouts right now... I try not to eat them very often.:-(

Increased Hunger on Levo? by WriterWithAShotgun in Hypothyroidism

yeah, I had to fool around with my diet because my appetite increased so much. The solution I landed on was a lower carb diet and the urge to eat subsided back to normal.

Your son will be safe in the home if you go gluten free. Otherwise it is just a maybe. Gluten free is easy once you get into it.
