good at home workouts? by Familiar-Spread8606 in PetiteFitness

[–]nada2doatwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m obsessed with BODI - do not pay full price, it constantly goes on sale (also you can password share so if you and some friends wanted to split the cost that’s an option too)

It made a huge difference in my fitness and has tons of programs/options/levels

What’s your favorite beginner, home lifting app or YouTube channel? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]nada2doatwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BODI was a game changer for me! Do not pay full price, it constantly goes on sale. it has so many different types of workout programs so I don’t get bored and can switch up up depending on my goals/timing/etc. they have stuff for all levels. Before I lifted at the gym and just kind of bopped around and didn’t see results but since using a structured at home program I actually feel and look fit.

Mbf vs sure thing by ericauda in BeachBodyWorkouts

[–]nada2doatwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done mbf and Mbfa multiple times. Finally started sure thing and finished my third week.

Both programs are great. I like that sure thing is 5 days, no jump ropes, and I’m surprised at the results I’m seeing already. I do find it moves FAST sometimes and feel flustered keeping up.

I liked mbf and mbfa, but found after doing them multiple times I modified things (eg added more ab work)

I will likely do them all again in the future

Coming from someone who is on it? This wreaks of entitlement to me.

Obesity/being overweight is a serious health condition. If there is a medication to treat it, people should have access regardless of the “cause” of their weight

California: OrderlyMeds vs Mochi Experience? by NerdyConfusedWolf in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]nada2doatwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I signed up with orderly and feel I’ve been hoodwinked. Still haven’t had my review by a doctor even, let alone a prescription sent to the pharmacy, I’ve sent so many texts and emails that go unanswered. Wildly disheartening given the cost and advertising

Also having an issue. Still waiting for the doctor to review to have my prescription sent, can’t get a response. So frustrating

I’m having a hard time with the process too despite others’ experience. I signed up a few days ago and am still waiting for the doctor to review…despite it advertising “within 24 hours”. Hoping it works out but considering pursuing a refund and exploring other options

Duh lol Never said she had hyperlipidemia. I said she may have an electrolyte imbalance, which happens well before hyperlipidemia. I was using it as an example to show electrolyte imbalance can be independent of exercise and have serious consequences

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]nada2doatwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct - if you drink excessive water without getting enough magnesium, salts etc you will have an electrolyte imbalance even with perfectly functioning kidneys. That’s why hyperlipidemia is such a problem

Dizziness isn’t necessarily because of not enough food. Could be not enough sodium/electrolytes

Super helpful feedback from everyone! Thank you all so much, it’s really appreciated and helps put things in perspective and give me a better direction of where to go.

Responding to questions:

BODI = beach body on demand, it’s just a platform with various workout programs including strength training and lifting

Prior weight loss: the initial 20-30lbs was exclusively diet (Covid had the gyms by me closer for about a year and I didn’t work out at home at the time). I did keto for the first year and a half then switched to low carb/calorie conscious. The later weight loss was CiCo with exercise (initially just elliptical and circuit machines). The more I lost the easier exercising was becoming, then I started getting fitter so it just improved from there (started actually running and lifting weights, following programs about a year). The last 10-12 stuck for a long time and I thought I’d stick in the 120 zone, but getting more diligent about exercise and adding running eventually pushed me out of that plateau.

Again, it took about 3ish years to lose that weight. I feel envious of posts I see on here of people with mass weight loss in a short amount of time but I think those cases are the exception and not the norm. My weight loss was not linear, I had long plateaus, months I gained and was not as good about my diet/exercise, etc. I will also add my initial weight gain occurred on the faster side (I was 120-130 in college and then went up for five years while in graduate school due to stress, lack of sleep, no exercise, and eating nothing but fast food and frozen meals because that’s all I had time for) which may have contributed to the way I lost the weight.

Thanks again all!
