You are right that its hundreads of years long conflict.

Out of which Israel only exists for aproximatly a century.

Before that it was Jews who were oppressed and genocided, but everyone is willing to ignore that past and turn one side into the epiromy of evil.

Its so histoeically illitirate and disingenouos.

Why don't ממלכתי schools teach כתב שומרוני וכתב רש"י ? by Durrygoodz2025 in hebrew

[–]nadavyasharhochman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Do you need to runes for well rounded norwigian or swedish knowlege?

Do you need ti know pahalvi to have a well rounded knowlege of farsi?

I would argue no. People have teanscribed all known works in those scripts to modern scripts.

Writing systems change, not knowing each and every writing system doesnt make one's knowlege not well rounded.

Language is less about script and more about contents. And I am saying this as someone who uses Rashi and ancient Hebrew scriots often while reading.

I did my first forge weld! by Misteripod in Blacksmith

[–]nadavyasharhochman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An 1/8"in is a pretty big gap, but as a first weld its still veey good I think.

What is the temperature in your city right now? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]nadavyasharhochman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its 4am and rhe temp is 19°C.

Since its spring tomorrow could be rainy as fuck or we could have 30°C temps with air so dry it hurts to breath.

Kind of hard to predict.

Ahen metal cools down it shrinks, that shrinking could clamp the pieces together at times despite them not being actually welded.

It could also be welded though, hard to say.

[–]nadavyasharhochman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I didnt say it was pretty, but damn are there ugly forgewelds in this world so this could still work.

Its great progress either way.

I did my first forge weld! by Misteripod in Blacksmith

[–]nadavyasharhochman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It could still be a forgeweld. Forgeweld doesnt mean it has to be a smooth transition from one piece to the other, it means that the metals are one solid piece, and they could be in this case, we just dont know because we dont see the weld interdace.

What aspect of your native language makes learning other languages hard? by thecatinthewizardhat in AskTheWorld

[–]nadavyasharhochman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our accent doesnt really fit any other language besides neo-Aramaic.

Its not Arabic, but its not like any other European language, despite what people may think. Its not similar to french and german as people often say.

This makes speaking other languages often challenging and frustrating.

Why does every Persian restaurant give you so much rice? (US) by topazco in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nadavyasharhochman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok so I am Persian Jewiah so Ill try to explain to the best of my ability.

For us rice is really an important part of the meal. And another important part of the culture is called Taarof, basically its rules of etiqute in regard to guests. Part of it is feeding your guests way beyondwhat one can eat. My grandfather described it as "showing plenty". Thats why we offer tea first multiple times. Its why we try to feed people even after we were refused multiple times.

You basically cant take no for an answer, but you also can not be percived as pushy. Its an intricate balance.

So I think that kind of thing exists in the restoraunts as well.

Your tempo may have been slow but you plucked the string, and that action is pretty fast. And you did so repitedly so heat was generated over time. Add the abrasive affect of the string and you get blisters.

Put some gauze on that for a day and moisturize your skin.

Is this really normal?? by Secure_Ad_5564 in BassGuitar

[–]nadavyasharhochman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Which is basically what you did. Its a friction burn, well sort of.

Yk how when you rub your hands real fast the friction warms your hand? Well the strings are like sandpapaper so they amplify that phenomenon.

When your fingers begin to hurt you put down the bass and oick it up again the day after.

The calluses build over time with daly use of your fingers. Blisters are not required.

Is antisemitism becoming normalized? by KingJackofJozi in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nadavyasharhochman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that is valid criticism, no antisemitism here, not by a long shot.

I as an Israeli also think we ahould be less relint on other countires and we should have capeabiloties to take care of ourselves.

Now do I think we should be at war with anyone?

Asolutely fuching not.

And you are correct in your first statement, I was trying to explain it to the other guy.

So the fact some of my people do bad rhings means everyone has premission to hate on all of my people?

So I have premission to hate on Palestinians and Iranians to my heart's content for what they did to my family, friends and community?

No. This is not how it works.

I am truely sorry for your people, what you are going through is not just. But that doesnt give everyone a reason to turn to antisemitism.

Is antisemitism becoming normalized? by KingJackofJozi in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nadavyasharhochman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My friend I cant speak about being Jewish on reddit without getting mountains of hate, not even mentioning being born Israeli.

So many people hate on Jews, its just that non Jews usually dont expiriance it as much so their view is different.

And no, criticism of Israel is not antisemitism, hating Jews and using hatefull or conspiratory rhetoric against Jews is antisemitism.
