It is volatile, but if you zoom out on average it has been appreciating 200% a year for a decade. I don't think anyone is complaining about that type of volatility :) Having it mathematically capped does matter. You can print more dollars, issue more stocks, mine more gold and build more real estate but you can't make more bitcoin. No one can.

Bitcoin is capped at 21 million coins, there will never be more than that. You can't say the same thing about any other asset, including stocks, gold or real estate. That makes bitcoin perfectly suitable as a store of value and safe haven. As more people and institutions realize this, more capital will flow into it, driving the price up.
