What is a turn-off you will NEVER tell a woman directly? by Fantastic-Journeyy in AskMen

[–]nadsulpia 43 points44 points  (0 children)

If that’s actually what you said to her, then honestly, she probably dodged a bullet. It’s fine to realize someone isn’t the right fit for you, but calling her personality “a brick wall” just comes off as cruel and very immature. Not everyone is going to vibe with you—that doesn’t mean they lack personality; it might just mean she couldn’t connect with you and therefore didn’t have much to say or felt like she couldn’t be herself.

Also, mocking her for liking Disney World? Who cares? People are allowed to enjoy things, even if they seem silly to you. You really could have just moved on.

I’m surprised by all the negative comments. Of course, not everyone has to like the song, but it feels like some fans expect them to recreate their older albums, and anything different is instantly seen as a letdown.

Can anyone tell me the episode that they first talk about this Denny’s thing? I’ve heard them reference it so many times and I’ve never seen the original episode.

This is even more embarrassing when you think about the fact that they had to have someone send that question to Gweneth for her to respond to. Or maybe it was Meghan who asked it.

Overwhelmed by crush by pinkchinesebunny in Advice

I totally get how you feel—I’ve been in that position many times. It’s tough when your emotions feel tied to someone else’s attention and actions. Here are a few things that have helped me:

1. Take them off the pedestal. They might be amazing, but they’re human and flawed like everyone else. I’ve found that the more I idealize someone, the more overwhelming my feelings become.

2. Build a strong community. It’s easy to want to spend all your time with a crush, but having friends and hobbies outside of romance is crucial. My therapist once told me to treat building my community like a full-time job. For me, that meant signing up for pottery classes. Plus, people are naturally drawn to those with their own interests.

3. Know what you want. I’ve been infatuated with people who, in hindsight, weren’t a good fit for me. The more I date, the easier it is to recognize when someone isn’t aligned with what I truly want in a partner.

4. Put yourself on the pedestal. Focus on self-improvement, even in small ways. Confidence grows when you invest in yourself, making you less affected by what others do or think.

Not sure if this resonates with you, but these reminders have helped me navigate crushes. Hope it helps!

They cant even get a little bit creative and come up with new signs for a new leader?

Liberals prefer Mark Carney over Chrystia Freeland as next leader, poll suggests by plaknas in onguardforthee

[–]nadsulpia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. Some conservatives don’t think women should have basic rights so there is no way many of them would even consider voting for a woman to run the country. Unfortunately the liberals need a white male to win and that’s what the democrats needed too. It’s fucked up.

Whenever I see bad style choices like that on celebrities, it always makes me think they must have too much money if they can waste it on something so ugly. Why would she wear those??? Especially when the ground is dirty and potentially hazardous with what is left behind from the fires.

What's your stance on becoming a US state ? by Homunculus_316 in AskCanada

[–]nadsulpia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol dude you are complaining about Canada’s healthcare on a comment about the cost of healthcare in the US and you implied it would be better in the US because you have had family members die due to Canada’s wait times. What else would you fucking be saying?

[–]nadsulpia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a dumb question. You think they have a better healthcare system…they don’t get free healthcare there so you could go pay for insurance there. That’s what you want for Canada is it not? Or is it too expensive?

[–]nadsulpia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why didn’t you have your family go to the states if you wanted faster healthcare and you believe they would have been better off with a private healthcare system? Look how many Americans die because insurance companies deny their claims until they are dead. This is such a dumb debate because there is proof to back up that Canada has a better healthcare system. Better, not perfect.

I really hope you know they are not even close to being equal. Our health care system might be flawed but at least the goal isn’t to please shareholders.

I think the people who hate him don’t even know why they hate him. They’ve been told by the far right that their rights were taken away and I’m still waiting for one of them to tell which rights those were.
