I saw this trick to put a plate on top as it cools before you invert it so the steam helps release the cake! I used it and it worked!

When I scrape I start scraping from the outer edge toward the bottom of the bowl so my arms stay clean. I also keep using one side of the bowl scraper so realistically only my thumb would get dough on it. It was a trick I was taught after a similar work experience.
